The name Stanton Drew means homestead by the stones. The largest of the stone circles on this site is second largest known in England, after Avebury. The stones featured are part a smaller irregular stone circle adjacent to the large one. This stone circle has a sub-oval plan with a maximum diameter of 35m. It contains seven large standing stones with dimensions of between 1.5m and 2m high and 0.75m-1.5m thick. All together at this complex there are three stone circles, two stone avenues and a cove.

Part of my project ›Borderland, Borderless‹ - an inquiry along the former inner-German border.
Even more than 30 years after the reunification of Germany, there is this borderless borderland. All objects photographed form a topography of this particular society.
A book about this project will be published at the end of 2021, this picture however is not in the book.
One of the 2000 copies ever produced of the Leitz Elmar 4/135 (1961; and attached to the bottom plate of the original plexiglass cover it came with). Shot taken with Fuji X-Pro1 plus Mitakon Speedmaster 0.95/35 at F16.

Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!
Part of an epic fallout on the shores of Monhegan Island, Maine. Warblers dripped from the trees and crawled on the shore. It was quite the scene.
Part of Red Bull's display team, this 'fork-tailed devil' gave us an amazing show at Sywell last year.
a little part of this year's peaches from our garden. We never had this many - last year there were only 10 of them!!! (view on black)
We'll have guests next week, so I'm not sure if I'll have the opportunity to have a look at flickr! Have a great time!
Sanssouci is a historical building in Potsdam, near Berlin. Built by Prussian King Frederick the Great as his summer palace, it is often counted among the German rivals of Versailles.
