Inside a green dream , part one

I've uploaded many dreamy pictures so far, and decided to number them, starting again, with number one.

It looks rather useless to think of original titles for a dreamy photo, because they can be taken everywhere. Ofcourse I'll mention where they were taken, this image of a beautiful shaped tree, a cottage, grasses and water, was taken in a park annex entertainment centre called Plaswijck in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Part of the highlands that can be visited from the road are these twin sinkholes (not volcanic craters), surrounded by scalesia forest.

Vermilion flycatchers are often seen here, as are short-eared owls on occasion. Los Gemelos are about 2km beyond Santa Rosa on the trans-island road. Although the sinkholes lie only 25m and 125m from either side of the road, they are hidden by vegetation, so ask your driver to stop at the short trailhead.

Some believe such ancient sites were connected and placed on lines of spiritual power, ley lines, maybe that's what's in the sky? Or not :) Certainly a sacred place with a unique atmosphere.

Part 2

The building is intentionally reminiscent of the United States Capitol. Designed by Elijah E. Myers, it was constructed in the 1890s from Colorado white granite, and opened for use in November 1894. The distinctive gold dome consists of real gold plate, first added in 1908, commemorating the Colorado Gold Rush. The building is part of Denver's Civic Center area.

Ao longe vejo ainda, no topo da colina, o templo à deusa, cujo olhar me segue, imperturbável. Vencidas todas as batalhas, acabei enfim por perder a guerra.

A field in summer.

I spent a few days by the Ayrshire coast back at the end of June/start of July and couldn't have asked for better weather. Each evening I dragged myself away from my chair (or hammock) next to the beach to go take some pictures.

On this excursion there was nowhere to properly park the car so I ended up blocking the entrance to the field. Between that and the midges, I didn't linger.
