I followed my friend Brandon for a week or so to see how he survives being a music education major (22 credits per semester), practicing for hours, having a part time job, and still having time to do favors for friends.
My mates son retired ! from his part time job ,I wish him well on finishing his Uni and hope I dont need his services defending me in court.
He is not wee but sometimes I cant disagree with the fud bit !

Winter break officially ends tomorrow. I decided to take 9 credits this semester. Last semester I learned how difficult full time school + a part time job + co running a photography business was. I feel like all the craziness is just beginning. The next two months will prove to be insanely hectic, but I'm prepared for it. I feel the most productive when I have 20 things on my plate.This photo comprises my collection of Kodak cameras. I don't know why , but, I'm always attracted to vintage Kodak cameras. There is something about them. I love my little collection and the evolution of the simple box camera that it represents. My favorite is the circa 1930's Brownie.

I think I found the best part time job for me, glove tester, so if any of you out in flickrland works for a glove maker send me a line, I'll work the crap out of them. I would rate these at about a 3 out of 5. The leather palm worked well, but made the glove smell gamey after a week or so. The fingertips split after about 3 weeks and now after about a month the leather is wearing through, but all in all, the fit was good and it worked well for my uses. Tonight I am going to a concert, Brad Paisley. Not a huge fan of his but he is ok. Work is work. I didn't make any changes there, I just couldn't afford the pay cut that would come along with working second shift, so nothing changes. anyway I gotta run, till tomarrow.

today against the tampering with the autonomy and gender-sensrtrve character of the GSCASH by the JNU adm1nrstratron outside the Executive Council Meeting. In spite of a consistent pressure by the student community, the issue of GSCASH was not included in the agenda of the EC Meeting which reflects the insensitive and undemocratic attitude of the administration .
regarding this issue. We urge upon the JNUSU to intensify the struggle in defense of the GSCASI4 in future. .
In context of the JNUSU Council Meeting scheduled to be held tonight to deliberate on the·Charter of Demands and implementation of the E-UGBM's mandate, the SFI-AISF would like to draw attention of the JNUSLJ'towards certain important .
issues of the student community, many ofwhich has been pending for long before the administration. .
The SFI-AISF led JNUSU in 2003-04 had compelled the administration to provide Student Representation to the Academic CounciVBoard of Studies, set up full-fledged, democratized Grievance Redressal Committees in each School and at .
and a Science Schools' Committee for academic upgradation. At a time when the democratic rights ofthe University level .
students are being curtailed throughout the country, the agreement on student representation in the highest decision-making body of the University is a historic achievement for JNU students and must be implemented at the earliest. .
The sharp drop in the number of available scholarships as well as increasing financial constraints in the era of liberalisaHon has become a major reason for the growing drop-out rates in our University, particularly at the research level. Many .
students also have to sustain themselves through part-time jobs. We feel that no student should be excluded from the purview of higher education due to lack of funds and therefore demand that every needy student be provided financial assistance by the University. Also, the Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship for SC/ST students that has been declared by the Government neust be .
made available for JNU students immediately. .
The decision of the administration to change the rules and procedures of GSCASH in a completely intransparent and undemocratic manner has been a major attack on this institution which was built after long and arduous struggles of the JNU community. The new rules and procedures seek to do away with both the autonomous character of the GSCASH as well as its ability to deal with incidents of sexual harassment in a sensitive manner. We demand an immediate restoration of the old rules and procedures. The Equal Opportunity Office was formed to ensure that students from deprived sections are provided an environment in our University where they could reach their full academic potential However, the EOO has-so far failed both to address high drop-out rates among Dalit students as well as to provide redressaJ in cases of caste-based abuse and harassment. We demand that this committee be given more punitive powers to deal with cases of caste discrimination and abuse. It should also be made more transparent, democratic and accountable by giving representation to the unions and associations of students, teachers and employees within it. .
The entire registration process including the hostel allotment should be computerized by linking different sections of the University through computer networ'k at the earliest .
The SFI-AJSF also calls upon the JNUSU to implement the unanimously passed resolutions in the E-UGBM, one against violence on 14th November demanding an independent Enquiry and the other against any "Model Code of Protest'. These two issues should be immediately taken up with the administration. In this regard, we would also like to state that the response of the .
JNUSU President and the AI SA to the mandate of the E-UGBM has been utterly undemocratic and disappointing. The arrogant refusal by the JNUSU President to accept the mandate of the Censure Resolution passed in the E-UGBM only points to the partisan manner in which she is functioning and simultaneously undermining the sanctity of democratic institutions like UGBMs of our campus. Apart from these major issues, we appeal to the JNUSU to take up the following demands of the students: .
Keeping the Text-Book and Reference sections ofthe Central Library for 24 hours. .
The BIC Computer Centre must be opened for 24hours. Computers with Internet facilities must be provided in all hostels..
Corpus Funds should be created for timely disbursal of CSIR fellowships In cases of delay by CSIR in releasing funds. .
Additional laboratory facilities must be provided in Science Schools. .

Ensure time-bound punishment for communal lumpens by the Harjit Singh Committee. .
Setting up of a audio archive of lectures which would be particularly helpful for blind students. .
GIS course should be started forMA students of CSRD.
Centre~specific Computer-Internet facilities should be provided In SIS at the earliest. .
Provision of bridge courses In SLL&CS to assist students facing academic difficulties. .

So I finally bought my lamp. It was really cheap (€7,99). I also seen an ad for part-time jobs in that shop while going out. Maybe I'll apply.
I have one full-time job (teaching high school) and two part-time jobs (teaching college and tech consulting), and I have twin 3-year old daughters... I don't have much leisure time, but I try to spend a little time with my camera each day.

This is the reception desk of El Diablo Tranquilo, a hostel in Punta del Diablo. I managed to score a part time job here for a few weeks/months during the high season. Lots and lots of extremely cool people and a spectrum of languages all around.
Didn't get a chance to climb it due to the company I was with, but I will for sure climb it someday, since it's really close to where one of my part-time jobs is.
