« Je revois mon père garant son camping-car à proximité d’un relais autoroutier, en période de départ en vacances. J’ai assisté à la scène, plusieurs fois. Beaucoup de choses passaient, en quelques minutes, sur son visage. Une perplexité désolée le plus souvent, de l’amusement ; parfois, fugitivement, une espèce d’envie ; mais plus souvent que tout un immense, un insondable mépris. Jamais en tout cas je ne l’ai vu descendre d’un coup, sitôt son véhicule garé, pour se mêler aux familles, aux bandes de jeunes partant ensemble en vacances, faisant la queue pour acheter leur duo jambon-fromage. À chaque fois, je l’ai vu observer une pause de quelques minutes avant de rejoindre la foule de ses semblables ; et ces minutes, comme elles me paraissaient longues ! » (M.H.)

Bon, c’est un vieux projet sur LDD, je viens de le passer en Studio. Je m’y étais mit peu après mon Tie « Mohawk ». Mon idée était qu’après avoir un Tie Fighter, il faudrait faire un Bombardier. Pour les dimensions de l’hexagone, j’ai pris les dimensions du Tie UCS. Et une fois placé le système de bombardement, et le moteur-hyperdrive-générateur il me restait la moitié de l’engin à meubler. Donc il y a deux versions. Une version « commando » avec porte latérale pour un débarquement rapide, une station d’écoute espionnage, de la place pour le commando, râtelier d’armement… L’autre version est équipée de gros canons.
Cet engin à l’aérodynamisme d’un parpaing, ce qui est une grande amélioration par rapport au modèle classique qui lui a l’aérodynamisme de deux parpaings. Bien plus armé que le modèle classique, mieux blindé, doté d’un bouclier énergétique et d’un hyperdrive (pour la version commando), grâce à son moteur (version très réduite de celui d’un destroyer stellaire), il perd à peine en vitesse de pointe et manœuvrabilité. Le souci, comme pour le Tie Défender, c’est le prix. Un seul de ses engins vaut autant qu’une vingtaine de Tie Bombers classiques, raison pour laquelle il n’en existe que quelques prototypes, tous récupérés par l’amiral Thrawn.

So there are two versions. A "commando" version with a side door for a quick debarking, a spy listening station, room for the commando, armament rack... The other version is equipped with big guns.
This machine has the aerodynamics of a cinder block, which is a great improvement compared to the classic model which has the aerodynamics of two cinder blocks. Much more armed than the classic model, better armored, equipped with an energy shield and a hyperdrive (for the commando version), thanks to its engine (a very reduced version of that of a stellar destroyer), it hardly loses any of speed and maneuverability. The concern, as for the Tie Défender, is the price. Only one of its craft is worth as much as twenty conventional Tie Bombers, which is why there are only a few prototypes, all recovered by Admiral Thrawn.

The Drum Table Pallet Bench Set is made from a large drum that I dismantled. I cut part of one side off to create the foot of the table, but turned those cut parts into a set of benches!
Drum Table Pallet Bench Set:
First, I cut one side off to create a smaller foot for the table out of the drum. Next, I turned those cut-off pieces into benches by using joists made from pallet wood that I half-lapped for strength. I added cross-bracing between the legs to keep the benches stable when wiggled side-to-side. Once assembled, I sanded it three times with grains 36, 80 and 120-grit. Next, I varnished it in 3 layers sanding between each coat with 240-grit paper. The benches are made from the drum cheeks. I sanded and finished the table in the same manner. This table set will seat 8 to 10 people comfortably! All the wood was upcycled/recycled. The only expenses are the hardware, the sandpaper, and the varnish, totaling about 80 euros.
La table est réalisée à partir d'un touret d'1m60 que j'ai démonté entièrement pour recouper une joue en guise de pieds.
Une fois remontée, je l'ai poncé 3 fois avec des grains 36, 80 et 120, puis vernis en 3 couches avec ponçage au grain 240 entre chaque couche.
Les bancs sont réalisés à partir d'une joue de touret d'1m90 que j'ai recoupé ; et avec des poutrelles de palettes à parpaings, j'y ai fait leurs pieds. Même traitement que pour la table en terme de ponçage et protection.
8 Ã 10 personnes peuvent s'y attabler!
Le tout est issu de récupération, les seuls dépenses sont la quincaillerie, le papier à poncer et le vernis, soit 80euros.
Lourd est le parpaing de la réalité sur la tartelette aux fraises de nos illusions (Heavy is the perpend of the reality on the tart in the strawberries of our illusions)
Being used to converse with masons, earlier in the day I had asked the 3 men at the back, who were building a house, if all the houses in the area were built with red bricks ("tuÄŸla") instead of "birket" (breeze blocks, parpaing in French) which are cheaper and more common but provide less isolation : authoritatively, this woman (who was then sitting far away) answered in their place in a very loud voice : "it's a question of budget, dear !"... I had not understood that she was actually the owner of the future house -and moreover, the wife of a prosperous trader in cement and other building materials (sitting here on the right at the back).
The couple was born and raised in this village, but they left this place in the mountains to have a more comfortable life in Kozan, a city above Adana which has developed a lot these last years. Here they were, back in the mountains, to build a house for holidays or for retirement, "the house of my dreams" she said... This energetic woman was cooking all the meals of the workers who were sleeping there too - and in fact, directing the construction too ; the husband seemed happy to have a wife with such a strong character. ( By the way, her cooking was delicious !)
I was trying to find an **old** house where to spend the night ; not many were left in that part of the village, but she introduced me to her neighbours, who were living a bit far from the road and hidden among wallnut trees ; a lovely old stone house, inhabited by charming people who stick to their traditions...

Plus j'utilise le noir et blanc, plus je retourne vers l'abstraction. Je pense bientôt atteindre son Nirvana.

Modèle "Super Compétition", 3 tubes et fourche (chromée) en acier (Reynolds 531). 12 vitesses (origine), passé à 14 vitesses. Couronnes (Stronglight), freins, dérailleurs, manivelles et coloris d'origine. Changé uniquement : roues, selle (Italia), et bien sûr : chaîne, pédales, cocottes, guidoline, patins de frein (Shimano), courroies en cuir de pédales.
