The nest is taking form for the upcoming season. Both parents are working together to ensure a home for their young.
The tall man with the tattoos appeared to be the father.
Later in the ride, she used her cellphone to snap a photo of the baby.
Revisiting an old haunt in Barnet and in fact an old picture but a different context - my brother Declan and niece Bunny.
Pro-life activists attend the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on Planned Parenthood's taxpayer funding.
Goal: To attract parents in the community to the series. I wanted to show the stress of parenthood in a playfull way.
Audience: Parents and the community
Direction: None was really given. This was a great project to do whatever we wanted!
Project: This piece will be a mall kiosk, but they are also running ads in local magazines, sending mailers, and it will be a micro site. I wanted the art to be playfull and eye catching.
We got custom yellow tape printed up, and that is something they will use in service and throughout the campus too.
This was a custom photoshoot. Out models dropped out at the last minute so I had to improvise fast, those are my kids.

Week #47 ~ Every Picture Tells a Story
Category ~ Abstract
Recently it was the 41st anniversary of my Dad's passing at the tragically young age of 45, 5 years younger than I am now. As the years pass, the poignancy of this event in my life and that of my 4 siblings increases. It honestly did not mean as much to me as a child or young adult but now that I am older, for some strange reason, it does. To be analysed at a later stage, no doubt!
This was the best job I could do with my limited PS skills - I had in mind a much more fractured look but could not achieve it (yet...).
That is the story behind my image today.
A lot of words to describe a picture that should tell it's own story.....

Each year, the young fathers of the village of Perafita carry their children on a cart, showing in a literal way the efforts of parenthood.
This vehicle consumes red or sweet wine to roll (also could work with cheese, ham and beer) ;-)
Each year, in Candlemas ("la Candelera"), there's a horse festival in this village, with demonstrations, music, popular dances, and specially horse races.

Situated thirteen kilometers (seven miles) north of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. The sacred place for the Hindus in Malaysia. There are three main caves and a number of smaller ones. The caves are made of limestone (400 meters long and 100 meters high). They were discovered in 1892. You have to climb 272 steps, which will lead you to the religious and magnificent Batu Caves.
I love taking pictures like this that are full of the joy of life and uplifting.
A great way to view my photostream on Flickr

My 2-year-old son prepared to cry standing 'alone' in a heavy snow. His mom just released her hand so I could keep him only in the picture ( his big brother is embracing snow happily in background). This is definitely not a good shot and I tended not to view it for a second time.
Now I realize why. I don't like to see my kids sad, even for a short moment. His sad and helpless face resonates my deep emotion of love for him every time when looking at it . What a parenthood can be !

Closeup portrait of one of the parents - in front of the cygnet, and it jolly well stayed there, to!

New flamingo parent!
Tending to it's new (as in, you-can-see-it-there-in-the-middle-of-hatching) baby. The second of the chicks this season. (You can see all the other expectant parents in their nests around.)
