Tufted Blue Lily, Thelionema caespitosum, leaves have strong parallel veins and obvious midrib. Wog Wog, Morton National Park, NSW Australia, November 2012.
A random snapshot of the two driveways of both the new location of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and the Burger King restaurants that connects to Brookhaven Street in Brookhaven, Mississippi.
This is an example of three Parallel Horizontal trees, intersecting with one Vertical tree. The Horizontal trees are Perpendicular (form a 90 degree angle) with the Vertical tree.
Experimental shot, glad it came out not half as bad. At least it ain't totally washed out.

Running parallel to the Pacific Ocean for nine miles, this coastal river is separated from the ocean by only a thin foredune of sand. Many rare birds, animals, and plants depend on New River's estuary, forest, meadow, wetland, and shrub habitat for survival. Dedicated almost exclusively to Watchable Wildlife, the area remains secluded and primitive, providing nature enthusiasts with short, rustic, self-guided loop trails to view wildlife. There are four main access points to New River ACEC, Storm Ranch, Floras Lake, Lost Lake, and Four Mile. For more information, visit on.doi.gov/1GfG7ds

There was a steepness in the darkness
I wanted to cut it like a comet crash
Hit the city, where you had echoed from a flash
Made it all seem not so bad
'Cause we were parallel lines running through the whole sky
And even in the low light, we were aligned
'Cause we were parallel lines, separate the whole time
But even in the divide, you and I
Don't dare repeat this
But when I lay alone that night
I let the city see me cry
And in my weakness
I wish you hadn't closed your eyes
Crossed the city, open mine
'Cause we were parallel lines, running through the whole sky
And even in the low light, we were aligned
'Cause we were parallel lines, separate the whole time
But even in the divide, you and I
I watched you comb your hands through the light
Every detail spilled from your outline
All at once you filled my eyes
And I could see it all for the first time
'Cause we were parallel lines running through the whole sky
(The whole sky)
And even in the low light, we were aligned
(We were aligned)
'Cause we were parallel lines, separate the whole time
(Whole time)
And even in the divide, you and I
