There are few things in life one never gets bored of. Travelling to Yosemite in the pursuit of capturing a clearing storm is one such thing for me. Travelling alone through some of the toughest driving conditions I have encountered, the waiting game for the storm to pass and ultimately being rewarded with such a exquisite scene unfold is a feeling that has no parallel!
Follow the story on Instagram, to get a glimpse of the conditions before the storm clearing and the drive through the valley

The south shore of the Great Salt Lake is pretty easy to reach from an access road that parallels I-80. These are mudflats, swampy, and conditions change often.
That is Antelope Island, the largest of ~10 islands in the Great Salt Lake.

No comments today – just enjoy :-)
CN train 452 runs the Prairie North Line between Edmonton at Winnipeg. This secondary line parallels the main line to the north across western Manitoba, Saskatchewan and eastern Alberta. A check on recent satellite photos sadly reveal the elevator is gone.
additional Information: this photo wasn´t "photoshopped" in any way - only some corrections regarding color and contrast have been done - the content itself is completely untouched and original.
I hope someone enjoys and will make this to one of his/her favorites - also kind comments are very welcome!
Meanwhile I´ve choosen to do this into the group of "Your best shot 2016" due to a flickr friend as you can see under the comments...
...and because I like it too!
My given theme for this week is Parallel Lines in monochrome so here goes number 1. Volkes Railway Lines Brighton East Sussex, UK.
