Wishing you all a wonderful weekend of photography. Stay safe and keep the shutters clicking. Enjoy!

A montage of 3 photos from Melbourne CBD that showed plenty of parallel lines.

The top image shows the parallel railings and features in the multistoried Emporium building.

The smiley face part is the decoration on a raked seating area in Melbourne Central and the stripes are the wall decoration of the same seating area.

Looking forward to your parallel world! 11/100

The mid-morning traffic is typically healthy along Western Esplanade in Southampton as it competes, for a short distance at least, with SWT's 9.03 Weymouth - London Waterloo (1W08) service, brought up in the rear by unit 444003.

The Marlands Centre, an attractive proposition for would-be shoppers, can be seen at the top of the road. Possibly a good time to visit too - plenty of parking usually indicates a more pleasant shopping experience!

A shot taken last year during a few days spent along the south coast.

ODC Our Daily Challenge: Parallel Lines

Parallel Lines

A small part of the 50,000 acres of the baronial estate of heather clad hills and ancient woodland that hides Balmoral Castle.

I went into a black hole (a kind of wormhole) to witness the parallel universe phenomenon. The experience costed me $30.

Yesterday, I took this photo while waiting for our coffees at Prado Cafe, on Commercial Drive, in Vancouver, BC.

You might think the image was flipped, but this isn't the case here. These two chose to bond on the horizontal section of a bent branch - and nicely isolated.

When you peer into puddles, sometimes you can see an alternate universe...

In the midst of our session, Carol and I stumbled upon an animal skull. We quite literally stepped right over it as we made our way through a stand of evergreen trees. The stark whiteness of the desiccated bone contrasted vividly with the warm glow of the autumn leaves in the late afternoon sun. It felt like a gift from the universe. The odds of our path crossing the skull amid hundreds of forested acres felt akin to hitting some sort of macabre lottery. We wasted not a moment incorporating the skull into moment. It seemed to me this was the sole reason we were guided to it in the first place. I watched as Carol carefully examined the skull. I was struck by the reverence and solemnity of her look. There was an odd serenity to a scene that could easily have gone in a much harsher direction. I felt like the conduit for this photo more than its creator.

the highway and the higher way - cloud formation echoes the road.

Reflections from PPG Place in Pittsburgh.

Around the glistening wonder bent

The blue walls of the firmament,

No cloud above, no earth below —

A universe of sky and snow!
