Seen in the Knapp and Papermill, a Worcestershire Wildlife Trust reserve.
Infrared image converted to black and white. Taken with a full spectrum converted camera.
This is the section of the Harding-Jones Paper Mill that's featured on my Flickr post of yesterday. Very sad to see it torn down. When the roof caved in the owner was left with few options. A historical building but no funds to save it. A shame it couldn't be restored and turned into something commercial that the public could use.
You know those old picture that you just "came across" and saw new things in, right? More formerly know as "archive shots".
This is one of those. Papermill Falls in S Avon. I went through a period when I went to some extreme means to not include much of the graffiti-riddled bridge above the falls. This is one of those. Also - It shows pretty well the dual nature of the waterfall. The 2 parts look like 2 completely different waterfalls.

An abandoned papermill virtually untouched by vandalism or graffiti. Not sure about the whole history but it dates back to the 1920s/30s.
The Chocolate Milk Germany UE Tour. All win no fail and some epic locations with host, sunny weather, many miles travelled and much chocolate milk consumed.

I used a photograph of Papermill Cottage for this watercolour painting. I sold a photograph on canvas to somebody who lived here back in the sixties here at the Knapp & Papermill nature reserve, which meant a lot to them and me. I've always fancied having a go at painting it and here it is.
There is an old barn along the LA&L at Papermill Road. About the only time that it is visible is during the Winter, since it is all grown in around the barn itself. The only good angle to include the barn is from the farm field on the West side of the tracks. Normally in the morning this view would be looking into the sun, but with today's heavy overcast and fresh snow, I finally got my photo of the LA&L passing the barn. LA&L freight at Papermill Road in Avon, NY on 1/25/2017.
This cottage hasn't been lived in since the sixties and is now a home to Bats, just behind runs the Leigh Brook which is part of the Malvern Hills AONB. I come here to get away from it all, no roads, no technology, it's completely off grid, just the sound of birds and the odd farm implement.
LA&L 428 & 425 are coming out of the "woods" with the Northbound road train at Papermill Road in Avon, NY on the morning of July 21, 2014. Since the regime change in 2016, it has been difficult for me to catch the road train as they rarely run in the mornings any more. Typically they run in the afternoon these days, when I am at work.
Before the ex M&E C-430's went to the WNY&P they were used on LA&L trains out of Lakeville. WNYP 432 & LAL 425 are leading the morning road train at Papermill Road in Avon, NY on 10/24/2008.
The Swiss Museum for Paper, Writing and Printing is located in a carefully restored building that began its life as a paper mill 500 years ago. It can be found next to the river Rhine, in the St. Alban quarter, one of Basel's well-preserved historic areas.

Spring sunshine and Bluebell scent, for me nothing beats this spectacle. The Knapp & Papermill nature reserve, 100 acres of wildflower meadows and mixed woodland with the Leigh Brook running through a deep valley below.
