Una linda foto tomada en el Parque Rodó, Uruguay.

This was so scarry, the chap responsable for the craning looked like he had seen a ghost when he arrived. It was his first day at work and he had never lifted a tree before. He was so daunted by the job.

From above, Stanford bears a couple indicators of its ground-level beauty, which benefits from a California climate and Texas-sized endowment. Most buildings are hybrids (or derivatives) of the Richardsonian Romanesque and Mission Revival styles (hence, the red-tiled roofs, plaster, and rough-hewn stones). Thanks to Frederick Law Olmsted’s consultations, the campus is on a generally flat plot of land and is littered with (un-Olmsted) scenic quads and predictably-dignified axial orientations. Stanford also benefits from being one of the largest campuses by size, which has allowed it to have the semi-wooded area at the top of the screenshot.

Battered pine cone from Norway resurrected

What rests after a squirrel and a truck are finished with this fur cone is the image of a palm tree. A cone from the north looks like a palm tree from the south. A readymade found sign: I just had to put it on its feet and digitalize it for distribution.

A trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

I know the idea is that you post one photograph per day but as my friend Pete will testify, I have never been one to slavishly follow rules.

In any case, this photograph is of the same subject as the first just from a different perspective.

These are pictures I snagged from an ebay auction way back in 2005. This is the Palmtree Instruments 'Airdrums' that was released in 1988 - a drum machine that you played by waving two MIDI enabled batons in the air. I noticed that there's next to nothing in terms of visual presence of these on the web - and absolutely nothing in terms of audio / video demos. Hopefully Matrixsynth will pick this up and motivate an Airdrum owner to do a Youtube demonstration. Or maybe even a sample set? Hmm?

In the neighborhood, a palm tree in a front yard. Dans mon quarter, un palmier dans un jardin.

Not a great granular picture, but all of the brwon stuff is the problem.

A palm tree near the San Diego Airport.

Why you might ask do they have fake palms in a country where the real thing grows readily?

Well these steel palm trees don't need watering, they don't require pruning and they can't be attacked by the picudo rojo beetle.

I have to say though, I prefer the real thing.
