I know the idea is that you post one photograph per day but as my friend Pete will testify, I have never been one to slavishly follow rules.
In any case, this photograph is of the same subject as the first just from a different perspective.
These are pictures I snagged from an ebay auction way back in 2005. This is the Palmtree Instruments 'Airdrums' that was released in 1988 - a drum machine that you played by waving two MIDI enabled batons in the air. I noticed that there's next to nothing in terms of visual presence of these on the web - and absolutely nothing in terms of audio / video demos. Hopefully Matrixsynth will pick this up and motivate an Airdrum owner to do a Youtube demonstration. Or maybe even a sample set? Hmm?
Why you might ask do they have fake palms in a country where the real thing grows readily?
Well these steel palm trees don't need watering, they don't require pruning and they can't be attacked by the picudo rojo beetle.
I have to say though, I prefer the real thing.
It was raining when we first arrived. This bit is calm after tempest, minutes before there was a crew of kids rejoicing in front of the church.
