Stand-Up Paddle Boarding or SUP is a new fashionable sport developed in Hawaii. It is gaining tremendous popularity among surfers who find it as an excellent way to train while the surf is down. Paddle Boarding is an increasingly popular sport activity that involves paddling and/or surfing. It is as close as you can get to “walking on water.”

The standup board is relatively easy to ride and allows paddlers of all skill levels, including beginners, to enjoy a stable, comfortable ride while getting a moderate workout. Stand-Up Paddle Boarding can be done in the ocean, harbors, rivers and lakes.

Tiny guy and his paddleboard paddling down the estuary at The Heads, Knysna. The coastline here was awesome - lots of cliffs and coves and caves and little secluded beaches.

I just liked this shot for some reason. The weather was pretty terrible for the 1st three days we were there. So between the sky and water it was very grey for a long time.

Enlarged, you will see a second (?) person on this paddleboard. I could not figure it out at first, but the only answer is the HDR, which is built into the Leica, kicked in and merged this picture with two visible figures. This is a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, Florida, USA.

Again... this makes me long for summer! Paddleboarding on a smooth lake in warm, sunny weather.

Everyone is having fun.
