to prep the rice for pounding we used these long wooden poles to pack the rice. we circled the stump packing the rice in rhythm to the drum beats.

Ian and Dave's bikes have Pelican bags: benefit is they're strong and water proof. Abe and Jes' (me) biks has Jesse bags, an older model with top/side opennings that makes for great access. We've had to reinforce the bottom front corners from griding when we turn just a little too steep. The Mag's bag back is perfect storage, but no, they're not quite water-proof.
