Seen operating a special repatriation flight from Dublin to Warsaw for Polish nationals who became stranded when Poland closed its airspace to international travel due to the Covid-19 virus.
This special livery, one of two is commemorating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence featuring a waving Polish flag moved by the take-off momentum with the strapline :
“Dumni z niepodległości Polski”
(Proud of Poland’s Independence)
SP-LSC features
24 seats in business,
21 in premium economy &
249 in standard economy Class.
Despite the tough times, a real treat for Dublin given LOT do not fly into Dublin, especially Dreamliners.
An Indian Blue Peacock, I'm sure he knows when a camera is pointed at him..
Better large and on black..
Family: Phasianidae
Species: Pavo cristatus
My 13 year old son, recently having joined the RAF Cadets in West Yorkshire, UK managed to get to our local Church at the end of our service for Remembrance Sunday having just attended one with his Squadron. He's not keen on smiling for the camera sadly, but I thought he looked so smart in his uniform. 9th November 2014,UK.
Theme this year “Black Lives Matter”. The MLK 2015 Celebration event will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Dr. King was among our nation's foremost leaders in combating racial inequality through nonviolence. Dr. King received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for his role in the Civil Rights Movement. One March with three different starting locations: (Oak Park Community Center, Sacramento City College, Grant High School). Our local news reports approximately 26,000 people participated in the annual MLK March for not only peace and unity in the community but also marching to close the Achievement Gap with Sacramento area high school students. Once again, I was the event photographer for this event capturing the participation of the members of the Divine 9 BGLO (Black Greek Letter Organizations: Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.)
Pictured here Marine in uniform participating in the MLK march. This really caught my eye. I remember my father sharing a story that in the 60's African American's in the military were not allowed to participate in any of the marches/peaceful demonstrations that involved Dr. King or they would be dishonorably discharged from the military.
From the campaign archives...I know the new health care reform legislation leaves much to be desired, but it is positive change, and I'll take that!
While walking among the ruins saw this boy playing soccer by himself. We stopped. Played with him for a while and snap some photos. Did not get his name as I can't converse in Arabic and he can't speak English.

This was my very first quilt ever and the proud boy who encouraged me to make it. Quite an adventure. Now working on #2 project for my manchild
The patriotic decor left behind after the 2012 Olypic Torch Relay celebration lines the railings of Market Hill and High Street in Maldon, Essex as spectators disperse and go their ways, hurrying through the soaking rain...but only minutes earlier no amount of downpour could dampen the spirits and enthusiam of the well-wishers and those who came to see the Olympic flame carried through the streets by torchbearers, most of whom were local people nominated for their outstanding charcter, leadership, or contributions to their communities and others. Never mind the dampness, the jubilant atmosphere of onlookers was contagious and kept them warm as they walked back to their cars, homes and workplaces. The Olympic torch relay, closely following the Queens Diamond Jubilee and running concurrently with the 2012 London Festival...gives many people who will not be able to attend the games a chance to be a part of it, see the torch and flame up close, and feel the excitement for themselves. A proud day and even prouder year for Britons, indeed.

Proud by Michael Healey
“Funny and foul-mouthed, yet surprisingly sweet.” Globe & Mail
“Dazzlingly witty, surgically precise and scathingly satirical.” Toronto Star
Award-winning playwright Michael Healey (The Drawer Boy) takes on his biggest subject yet: The Right Honourable Stephen Harper. His sexy, cheeky and surprising play will have you rolling in the aisles – regardless of your politics. You may even find yourself liking the man! Proud imagines a different outcome to the last Federal election – the Tories took Quebec and won a huge majority. A young, attractive and very inexperienced MP provides the Prime Minister with a new tool in his arsenal. Unfortunately for him – she may be the smartest man in the room!
Very proud of this shot, my first outing with a manual focus 500mm lens with no stabilisation. Blown away by the bokeh.

Mom and dad are focused and faithful parents, and they have such a sense of peace - God's grace - about them. I look at this and can't help but think they'll be watching with pride as these two get older!
