Δέ θυμάμαι άν φεύγοντας μου έδωσες
το σεσημασμένο φιλί.
Είπες μόνο φεύγω για λόγους αναψυχής
αφήνω ανοιχτή την πόρτα της προδοσίας
θα επιστρέψω εξολοκλήρου
αυτό ναι, το θυμάμαι καλά
κεντήθηκε με καυτή βελόνα
τατουάζ ανεξίτηλο στην παρειά μου.
Ξέρεις τι είναι προδοσία;
Η ανάγκη φυγής που κυριεύει
κάθε σώμα
καθηλωμένο στην ίδια κουραστική στάση
όπως είναι η στάση της πίστης
η στάση της αγάπης
μπροστά σ΄ένα παράθυρο αμετακίνητο
με μόνη θέα νύχτα μέρα
καρφωτή στα μάτια
την ανυπόφορη αντηλιά του εαυτού της.
Ξέρεις ποιός είναι ο διαφημιστής
ο αντζέντης της προδοσίας;
Το προδοτικό φιλί.
Εκείνο μεριμνά για τη φήμη της
της κλείνει κερδοφόρα συμβόλαια
με την αθανασία
εκείνο φέρνει γενεές και γεμίζουν
οι οθόνες των αιώνων
γιατί αυτό το φιλί
είναι που διεγείρει
την καταπιεσμένη αγριότητα
προσηλυτίζει το αίμα
στη θρησκεία του θανάτου
εκείνο είναι που
κόβει την ανάσα των θρήνων
κι αν ανασαίνουν ακόμα οι δικοί μου
είναι γιατί θυμάμαι
ότι φεύγοντας άφησες μεν ανοιχτή
την πόρτα της προδοσίας
αλλά το προδοτικό φιλί της
δεν μου το έδωσες.

I've lived in Alaska for 23 years now and have only seen bison three times. The first two times the herd was on the Deltana River at least a half mile away. The third time, five bison came to within 25 yard of us. We were on our way to see family near Tok Alaska when we seen these bison walking in a clearing. Needless to say, we, my wife and I were really excited to see them. We only had a few minutes with them, they turned and went back into the woods, but wow, what an experience.
These bison are part of a herd that was introduced to Alaska back in 1928.
The Chequers used to be a pub and goes back to Elizabethan times. It is dilapidated now and dangerously close to the River Ver flowing around it, and to a major trunk road, the A 5183 connecting the motorway with Dunstable. However, it is a listed building with some heritage and therefore protected by law. Any owner would not be allowed to change its substance and layout and, if "modernised", all changes would have to be in keeping with tradition. This is a major challenge, and for the last decade, nobody has come forward to accept this challenge. So, decay and dilapidation do continue, together with the protection. Fuji X-Pro3, 35/1.4 lens.
Our yard is thick with hummingbirds right now. Certain times of the day are like Grand Central Station. Lot's a jockeying for position and aerial battles. Sometimes it even comes to fisticuffs as you hear physical contact being made. I came so close to getting clobbered yesterday as one male let it be known that I was not welcome in my own back yard. It is super entertaining to watch these guys. This is a male Anna's hummingbird.
It is our responsibility to care for and protect our wildlife. We are surrounded by the beauty of animal families who belong in our world too. We must learn to share and care.

In 1967 verkreeg een deel van Orvelte de status beschermd dorpsgezicht. De omgeving wordt gebruikt voor geologisch en biologisch veldwerk.

Orvelte is a green village in the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, in the Dutch province of Drenthe.
The village probably originated between the 11th and 13th centuries.
In 1967 a part of Orvelte obtained the status of protected townscape. The environment is used for geological and biological field work.

9th May 2016 - 2 x Foxhound protected patrol vehicles sit on the cruise liner terminal in Liverpool waiting to be driven on board the Albion class assault ship HMS Bulwark.
Sorry about the editing, but I was facing the sun for this perspective and it was the only way to solve the burnt out section in post processing. Should I have cloned out the flood light though?
