The photo shows a part of a french hydrangea flower. As usual, I used what is available in the house or garden. To catch the light for the shooting, a white coated carton from the super market and a sheet of white paper have been used. No spots or artificial light. You only have to avoid direct sun light, because of the hard shadows. Wait for the clouds...
also sounding like "lucky gold" in Chinese, kam kwat is a symbol of good fortune and prosperity.

Water is a critical resource and has been for the life of our planet. These two outlets, running to capacity, are moving water from a weir to an aquaduct which flows to the local reservoir providing drinking water to the community.
A beautiful rose raised by the Rev. Joseph Pemberton. As the flower matures the pale pink centre becomes pure white.
Flour windmills, dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries, are still a significant feature of the landscape of the Balearic Islands, and are a strong symbol of prosperity and engineering acumen, particularly in Mallorca. Originally numbering around 900, close to 200 windmills have been lost, and many that survive are in a state of disrepair, missing conical towers and other essential elements. Wind erosion, in addition to poor maintenance, neglect, and vandalism, has been the main causes of the windmills’ deterioration.

December and a beautiful rosebud just opening with two more to follow! White, with just a slight hint of pink. The pink will fade as the flower ages.

Fiona Lake, author, photographer and blogger writes, "In Australia a windmill is an image of life and prosperity. Much of inland Australia has no permanent surface water so during the annual dry season it would not be possible for animals, birds or people to live there if it were not for the supply of good quality underground water. Windmills are a very efficient, environmentally friendly way of pumping life-giving water to the surface." [www.fionalake.com.au/fiona-lake-mckindlay]
"The Great Artesian Basin is the world’s largest artesian water basin, covering 22% of Australia. It ranges from just 100m underground to more than 3km."
Windmills have been used for 150 years in inland Queensland to access sub-artesian water raising it to the surface or to store artesian water in turkey-nest dams in order to reticulate water by gravity flow to water troughs on grazing properties.

Before the Americans began retaking land the city was as close to heaven as it got. However a notable confederate veteran in the city, whose face was being deformed by the use of essence(essentially Bioshock's plasmids), founded a "club" for those who still believed in America. This "club" grew a bit out of hand and following a crackdown it became what is now known as the Hodds.
Tried out some new things here with the building.

Full on still from the florist.
Only just opening tentatively in the garden.
With a recorded history that dates back thousands of years, it’s not surprising that even the mythology surrounding the origin of the peony has multiple versions.
One legend has it that the peony is named after Paeon, a physician to the gods, who received the flower on Mount Olympus from the mother of Apollo.
And another tells the story of that same physician who was ‘saved’ from the fate of dying as other mortals by being turned into the flower we know today as the peony.
The traditional floral symbol of China, the state flower of Indiana, and the 12th wedding anniversary flower, peonies are known as the flower of riches and honour.
With their lush, full, rounded bloom, peonies embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage.
Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

China, Hong Kong,… a blue transporter with bamboo poles for scaffolding on high-rise buildings. Bamboo scaffolding will be transported in parts to the construction site & set up there with rope connections. After use, the scaffolding parts can be separated again & taken to the next construction site.
Like steel scaffolding, bamboo is used to carry out work on a structure & protect people from injury. The use of bamboo scaffolding has established itself in Asian countries such as China, Japan, India, etc. & has nothing to do with the economic prosperity of a country. In Asia the fast growing building material bamboo is in large quantities & cheap available. The recycling of bamboo scaffolding is also more environmentally friendly than that of steel.
The training to become a bamboo scaffold builder takes up to three years, the rods are connected & knotted with centuries-old experience of a secure technique with ropes.

Yet another large head of flowers in late September. Apart from the ageing flower bottom right, all looking great! I expect it to carry flowering for several more weeks. This is a hybrid musk rose, bred by the Rev. Joseph Pemberton, which repeat flowers.

Prosperity Once More
An entry for Global Contest IX from the Lands of Roawia Castle Builders Game
The City Hall of Durrough is an interesting structure, the most modern in the entire region, if not all of Roawia. Its striking roof and colors stand out significantly amongst Durrough’s more traditional buildings. A mixture of the latest Lenfald architecture with highlights of sandstone and roof tiles from Loreos, it was meant to be a sign of friendship between the two neighboring lands; a political symbol of the important trade Durrough had right across the Aines river mouth which the city guarded. Unfortunately only three months after its completion the two lands went to war, and this made the heavily Loreos-influenced edifice less than popular with the citizenry. In fact the Queen’s troops easily occupied it as Durrough folk weren’t particularly interested in keeping it as their center of banking and courts. Times were different now though, with the Queen’s evil influence removed and relationships and trade with Loreos normalizing…which is exactly the reason High Lord Triphian chose its speaking platform as the ideal spot to give his returning victory speech.
“My fellow citizens, now is the time for recovery! For rebuilding that which was lost; for sowing the seeds of our new crops; for reestablishing friendships once strained but now full of hope, and for families to be reunited after this terrible time of oppression and war.” Triphian had come to his main point in his speech to the people of Durrough, a people not long liberated from the oppressive fists of the Queen’s troops, and his listeners rewarded him with another round of applause, happy that the Provincial leader had chosen Durrough as his harbor of return from campaign. Standing beside him was Durrough’s own stalwart leader, Duke Cartney, who had already delivered a short and therefore good speech on their victory, especially thanking the heroes who liberated the city during one brutal late-summer morning, not that long ago. Among those thanked were both Sir Caelan Munro, now standing in a place of honor behind Triphian, and Sir Haymar, who was not present, as he had had the good common sense to “avoid another silly speech from bureaucrats” by selectively being off “pursuing a band of brigands” just at the right time. And standing behind Sir Caelan was Lady Kenzie, who was very much on his mind right now instead of the speech.
The young baron however was brought out of his pleasant thoughts of an impending proposal back to the present situation, when Lord Triphian spoke of matters which no doubt would pertain to his not-so distant future.
“My people, you so deserve a time of peace. [applause again from the crowd] Yet in order to have that peace we must finally rid ourselves of this false Queen, this liar and conniver and stealer of wealth and tranquility, but I have returned not with news of more war for you, no, but for the professionals such as Sir Caelan here” —and this was where Caelan really woke up and started to pay attention—“for soon I must call on our valiant knights once more to finish the task, but not you, my people. I will not rob you of your husbands again, I will not call on your sons and brothers, no, but when the time comes our knights will carry the torch of righteous battle to give the Queen what she badly deserves!” [much applause here from a war-weary people].
So this was news, and Caelan started to ponder what it meant…certainly Triphian knew something more than he was divulging now, but there would still be time for that proposal, he was determined….and again his mind was interrupted by Triphian’s final rallying point, to prolonged applause.
“But for you my people of Lenfald, prosperity once more!”
One Biscayne Tower is an office skyscraper in Miami, Florida, United States. It is located on the eastern edge of Downtown Miami, on South Biscayne Boulevard. It comprises Class A office space completely. The approximately 983,000 square feet building contains 39 floors and is 492 ft (150 m) tall, to the roof.
When built in 1972, it ended the Dade County Courthouse's 44-year reign as the tallest building in Miami. It held this status until the Southeast Financial Center was topped off in 1984. The building, although relatively short compared to many of the newer skyscrapers in Miami, remains a symbol of the city. It appears often on most postcards of the skyline and remains a signature building of Miami, due to its being a symbol of prosperity for the Cuban exile community. For just this reason, it appears in a July 1973 article of National Geographic titled, "Cuba's Exiles Bring New Life to Miami." The building itself was designed by the exiled Cuban architects Humberto P. Alonso, Pelayo G. Fraga & Associates, and E.H. Gutierrez & Associates. For their design, the architects received a 1973 Outstanding Concrete Structure in Florida award.
One Biscayne Tower has won five Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, including the 2007 Miami-Dade TOBY Award and the 2007 BOMA Southern Regional TOBY.

Did you see the dragon cloud? I guess not huh! I took this with my friend he saw it and I said I saw nothing then I tried to snap a picture, I though that way I can see it. Well, some people born with a pair of spirit eye which they can see stuff and ordinary people can't. He said the dragon is heading toward the sun which its play time is over. True or not true I don't really believe it but the story suit this picture.

Wishing everyone peace, health, understanding and prosperity this Christmas Holiday Season and into 2013!!
More than you probably want to know:
This home belongs to Bob and Julie who live just south of the Mall of America on 9145 Meadowview Road in Bloomington MN. The couple have been decorating the big 50 foot tall oak tree in their front yard since 2001 to commemorate moving back into Julie's childhood home. Adorned each fall with over 40,000 Christmas lights, this tree has become a local Holiday landmark that can be seen for miles up and down the Minnesota River Valley. It's so bright that airline pilots have been known to point out this tree to passengers when landing at the nearby Minneapolis International Airport.
Bob and Julie are very accommodating to photographers but ask that the images not be used for commercial profit - it's a gift they give to the neighborhood/community for free.
