Michael Graves was one of the first well-known designers to create a line with mass market retailer, Target. The relationship lasted more than 15 years. On the left is a stainless steel Whistle Tea kettle designed in 1999. On the right is a toaster designed in 1988.
Michael Graves: Past as Prologue was on exhibition at the Grounds For Sculpture from October 18, 2014 through April 5, 2015. The exhibit, sponsored by Kimberly-Clark and ALESSI, celebrates the international acclaimed artist and architect and the the 50th anniversary of his design firm. Featured are a tour through Graves' seminal architecture and product design projects, and some of original works of art.
Grounds For Sculpture is a 42-acre sculpture park and museum located on the former site of the New Jersey State Fairgrounds in Hamilton Township. The grounds, which feature over 270 large scale contemporary sculptures, were founded in 1992 by John Seward Johnson II.

In an amazing stroke of luck, NS interchanged a pair of their new heritage units to the BNSF on an empty coal train. They managed to get into south central Iowa before the light ran out.
More tomorrow after I've gotten some sleep!
what you see here is the 'pilot' or prologue to the series of 3 pictures. A Greek's tragedy called 'Wandering Theresa'.
It's the story about teenage girl wandering between the unknown worlds.
About the girl waking up every time in different places and remembering nothing...until that very moment, until she woke up on an ancient hill just above the clouds.
She don't know yet - but this is the place where she'll undercover her destiny and her eternal voyage will end, suffering will be deleted...

The year is 2022. A new dictator in the remains of northwestern Russia rises to power and seizes control of the Neo-Russian Korean area. After taking control of about half of Russia, he had the idea of making an undefeatable soldier, without putting another's life at risk. He called this Проект супер солдат, or Project Super Soldier.
As the idea rose, America overheard Russias' plan for domination. The instantly took action and had spies steal the formula. This photograph was taken somewhere in Russia during August 6th, 2022, two weeks before the American-led operation.

So I've decided to start a 365 Days. I did one from 07-08 and 08-09 and it helped with my creativity. This time I want to use natural light for all my photos. This may be my last 365 Days due to cancer, so I want to make it super special.
Pulp Fiction is my favourite movie. I have the laminated poster, the postcard, CD, DVD, and screenplay book.

Here are a few more pictures from the "Grand Départ" .
I like the affect of the spokes - at least that's what I am guessing it must be.
Back on my old trusty D70 which I hadn't used for ages. The D700 is in repair, the D200 loaned out, but the D70 still works - having it sit with a drained battery for over a year also seems to have cured the error messages I kept getting. Weird but true.
The Prologue of the Tour de France passing within a few hundred meters of my house was an opportunity I couldn't pass up .
The stupid geotagging system of Yahoo! still has this location as "Noorder Ijland". There are at least three things wrong with that: 1) it should be one word, 2) IJ is one letter, so the J should be capitalized, but worse and 3) it's Eiland not IJland. Noordereiland it should be. (I made it Kop van Zuid because that's at least spelled right). Perhaps they can hire a few local folks so their spelling isn't all messed up.
