Well, it's raining out, it's the coldest night of the spring, and I've already said "fuck it, I'll do it tomorrow" for the barrel shroud and stuff. I can't really go to sleep either. Instead, I think tonight is a good night to light the fireplace, sit in that weird-ass chair I have with no headrest, and do something I don't do very often: read a book! Not just any book, but a book I wrote. Well, the pages are blank as shit, really, but I'll write it as I go along! Because no-one knows this story better than I do. And just what is this story? Well, it's the story or me, and the monster I've become. Let's take a look...

Thank you, thank you, and thank you everyone who checked out "Spooky Action!" at Empire Seven Studios. I spent most of 2013 holed up in my bedroom, drawing and painting, and it was great to see a bunch of people I haven't in a while, and meet a lot of new friends.
I spend most of my free time drawing, painting, and planning visual/spatial experiences. Most nights before I go to sleep, I wonder if why it's worth doing. I still don't get it, but I feel compelled to keep doing it. Weird, right?
I feel extremely grateful for being given the opportunity to use the gallery space for this exhibit - thank you so much, Empire Seven Studios. And again, thanks everyone who came out. I really appreciate your support, and hope my weird endeavors create some sort of value in your lives - even if they serve as a cautionary tale as to what NOT to do in life!

-“Brian…what’s going on?”
- “We’re not the first to get here. Come on, we gotta move.”
-"Grab your bag, honey. We have to go.”
“Why are all these people here...?”
-“The same reason we are. Now please hurry.”
“Let us through! We need in god dammit!!”
Prologue, suggesting that this exact same scene has existed for thousands of years and the rock (now eroded) has weathered for more than a hundred million years! Sometimes it's the small things that count!
“Come on! Let us in god dammit!!”
“We are all going to die out here if you don’t let us in!”
-“Don’t listen to them honey. We’re all going to be okay, everything’s going to be okay. We’re all going to survive.”
“Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
- “Its okay, I’m military.”
“Only a specific amount of people can get in here and we’ve already reached capacity.”
- “What the hell are you talking about?!”
“Dad?”
“We gotta get the blast door closed, now!”
- “You’re just leaving these people out here!? Are you insane?!”
“Look, we have to shut the bunker or else we’re all dead!”
-“Please, let us in. We won’t take much space.”
“I’m sorry! but we have no room for-“
-“At least let our son in! Please!”
“What?”
she gave me an unforgettable look
that she could not counterfeit,
her laugh like breaking glass-
sudden confused
pleasure.
by force of habit
she went
laughing down at herself.
the very tips of her fingers vibrated,
the sore sincerity of this
touched me.
she lost track
of the parts,
it was all
completely innocent,
but
glad or not,
you can't get out of it.
this weaving together of
prologue and destiny.
- “Phin...At this time, you have to be strong.”
“But Dad?”
-“Please honey, go with them...”
“One more coming in!”
“No! I don’t want to! What about you!”
- “Don’t worry about your mother and I…we’ll be fine, and we’ll all see each other again.”
-“You have to be brave for us, Phineas. Remember, we love you and always will.”
“Come on kid, we have to go!"
The Day was Beautiful! Hot & Sunny. I Even went out and Watered the Garden Because Did not look like Rain.
So about 4:00, Starts getting Very dark out. Ve Wind Starts picking up. grab my phone and was Able to get This Video. then had to come in because it go0t REAL Bad! When it was all over. Pretty Quickly too. a lot of Branches knocked off trees. in the Back roads a lot of "Downed" Trees taking power Lines with them
It was so bad by me, Even the Stray Cat Ran inside!!

- “It will be for a while, honey. But right now we have to hurry.”
- “I already got the car going, we gotta get on the road. Now!”
