It was September 9 and 10 2017 that the "Windy City" of Chicago, Illinois was welcoming the fifth race of the P1 AquaX Pro Enduro USA Championship. David Chassier, the only French pilot present at this event, raced on his Yamaha FX SVHO prepared by Riva Racing among 14 other PWC racers. The conditions were rough, with a 59ºF temperature and 17 mph wind, it was very choppy for a lake. The pilots were asked to run 4 round of 30 minutes +1 lap during the week end, we reported many minor injuries from head banging on jump impact. For David Chassier, he gave all he could but his mind was still in Sint Maarten Caribbean Island since many of his friends were stock on this devastated Island after the passage of the hurricane Irma September 6th. He managed to do respectively 13-11-12-11 to finish 12 overall. Hopefully, it will get him enough points to be qualified in the World Series taking place in December at Key West. Thanks to CSN Chicago, the race was broadcasted around the country and viewers were able to see the incredible battle between the two leaders Chris Macclugage and Eric Francis, the later who takes the win overall.
