So while I was out looking for furniture for the new apartment I ran across this groovy Beatles Abbey Road print.
I bought this album when it was first released in the late '60's.
That is why I couldn't resist.
Besides, the price had been lowered from $62.00 to $35.00.
I bought this and some really good quality estate furniture at Homing Instinct-Feathers For Your Nest, on Gore Street in Perth, Ontario. They have cool stuff!

I've been thinking about making prints available of my Polaroids and I'm wondering - if there is any interest - what size and formatting people might like.
I want to keep it pretty simple so if you guys have any thoughts on the following, let me know.
Size: either actual, double or triple size
Paper: glossy or matte
Availability: limited or open editions (would affect price) either signed or not
Presentation: plain, matted, or something that looks like an actual polaroid frame
Price range: That's tough but I was thinking anywhere from $20 to $100 depending on the criteria above. I'd like to keep the price pretty low - especially if it's an open edition. Obviously a simple mat or no mat would be cheaper than something more custom (like something made to look like a real Polaroid border) would be more expensive to make. So, triple size in something elaborate for $20 wouldn't be possible. You get the idea.

Had an C-print made of this slide. When I print from slidefilm, I'm more drawn to print it on glossy paper =)
I'd intended these for the bedroom, but I decided that my new prints from ashleyg would look better hanging next to one of the Kozyndan prints instead. I need to eventually have these all matted and re-framed.
We printed 3 "Schwanpagne" prints and they're all sold. 60x40cm with an ample border for standard and custom framing. ❤︎

experimenting with Talbot's recipes: silver nitrate print from calotype negative.
this is not salted paper - actually, it is the opposite of salted paper…
Talbot and Herschel were searching for a process of fixing prints in the most easy and straightforward way. they observed that silver nitrate is water soluble, yet silver chloride is not. so great care is taken to avoid any contact with salts during the whole process.
brush on silver nitrate, expose, then wash for at least four hours with at least three changes of *distilled* water. remember - no salts anywhere in the process. ever.
the final image is fairly light-stable - and of a beautiful red colour…
(Firefoot was the rocking horse Talbot bought for his daughter in 1840. today it is at Lacock Abbey…)

My first attempts at salt printing.
Printed from a digital negative onto Hahnemuhle Platinum Rag for 10 minutes in intense mid-afternoon sun. The print was overexposed so I toned it in selenium (1:200) for 1 minute to reduce the print and increase details in the shadows.

It's so rainy and gloomy here today, I'm dreaming of a warm beach! I thought these paw prints were cute. Didn't even see the dog that left them. Here's to the sun, warm water to stick our toes in and cute doggies. :)
