"Under The Pressure"- The War On Drugs

Well the comedown here was easy

Like the arrival of a new day

But a dream like this gets wasted

Without you

Under the pressure

is where we are

Under the pressure,

yea it's where we are babe

You're the only one

Like an illusion

When it all breaks down and we're runaways

Standing in the wake of our pain

And we stare straight into nothing

But we call it all the same

You were raised on a promise

Found that over time

Better come around to the new way

Or watch as it all breaks down here

Under the pressure

Well the break down here

Stole it all the way across

I wanna climb down the river

Stranded on

When you come here and I'm wasted

Lying on a field

Dancing in the rain

Hiding in the back

Loosening my grip

Wading in the water

Just trying not to crack

Under the pressure

Yeah that's where we are babe

Under the pressure

Full view of Niagara Falls, shows the immensity of it's size and the dynamics of the flow if the Niagara river. It's power is felt and heard even yards away. How beautiful it must have looked before modern man, turned it into a over developed attraction.

The court house was designed in 1838 by architect Eduard Louis de Coninck in neoclassicist style.

In 2004 the building was transformed into a museum (architect: Gunnar Daan).

In 2010, a remarkable extension was created, designed by BiermanHenket architecten.

Abandoned, the sense of happy times gone by - this once expensive Winnibago motor home lies in pieces. Hard to comprehend how many good moments haunt this once loved possession. Scattered.

This hydrant is at the base of a huge water tower. The tower is to be painted, inside and out. Although the tower was not nearly full, well over 250,000 gallons of water were drained and spilled onto the streets of our neighborhood. This single hydrant handled all of it......took all day.

HOLIDAYS: ENJOY no pressure and be creative☺☺!

The oppressive visual onset of a storm is often occasioned by a rapid drop in barometric pressure. Studies have associated this drop with negative physical and emotional effects on living beings. Everything from rising blood pressure and headaches to restlessness and irritability. I suppose irritability is rather subjective when, for many people, we're merely attempting to distinguish between degrees. But I can attest to the restlessness as storms approach. It's based on an intense desire to experience the sensory aspects (winds, clouds, temperature change, advancing darkness, etc). It goes back to that boundary obsession I have, of standing on the edge between two realms. For me it's not enough to simply witness such an event. I yearn to document it, and each storm is like the first one. The excitement and the pull never seem to diminish over time. I think this is yet another opportunity to channel the energy from some external source and direct it into a creative bent. On this magical day I found myself in an old burial ground beneath an advancing system. The clouds seethed with dark energy that could be felt at ground level. The weather boundary echoed by the physical boundary, the old stone wall separating the dead from the living. Never felt more alive.

For Gav.

DEEP: www.instagram.com/deepestarts

COLLECTIVE: www.instagram.com/crimepayswell/

Deep is a street artist, member of crew Crime Pays Well. His tags are often found on the walls of Montreal. But also when he has more time, letterings of great quality as we can see here, great filling

Not much information about Hly (his Instagram account just disappeared), but he often makes portraits of characters from Mythology like this Medusa head. Splendid!

Ice is water frozen into the solid state. It can appear transparent or opaque bluish-white color, depending on the presence of impurities or air inclusions. The addition of other materials such as soil may further alter the appearance.

Ice appears in nature in forms of snowflakes, hail, icicles, ice spikes and candles, glaciers, pack ice, frost, and entire polar ice caps. It is an important component of the global climate, and plays an important role in the water cycle. Furthermore, ice has numerous cultural applications, from ice cooling of drinks to winter sports and the art of ice sculpting.

The molecules in solid ice may be arranged in different ways, called phases, depending on the temperature and pressure. Usually ice is the phase known as ice Ih, which is the most abundant of the varying solid phases on the Earth's surface. The most common phase transition to ice Ih occurs when liquid water is cooled below 0°C (273.15K, 32°F) at standard atmospheric pressure. It can also deposit from vapour with no intervening liquid phase, such as in the formation of frost.

a dangerous train ...

The pine processionary (Thaumetopoea pityocampa) is a moth of the subfamily Thaumetopoeinae in the family Notodontidae, known for the irritating hairs of its caterpillars, their processions, and the economic damage they cause in coniferous forests.

Toxicity :

Stinging hairs contain a toxic protein that is very irritating and inflammatory: thaumetopoein. It penetrates where the “harpoon” is planted: most often in the skin, but also in the eye, the nose, the mouth…

The hair breaks and the toxin released causes a reaction similar to that of nettle stings: red pimples in the form of blisters, red itchy patches, appear on the skin.

General symptoms may occur in the event of significant exposure. The immune system then goes into overdrive, which can lead to a sudden drop in blood pressure, discomfort or loss of consciousness.

Is there a risk for animals? With their noses at ground level, animals are exposed to contact with these stinging hairs, particularly dogs. They can get it on their coat, or even take a caterpillar in their mouth, which can cause very serious inflammatory reactions including necrosis of the tongue.

The Red-bellied grackle is endemic to Colombia where it is found in all three Andean ranges at altitudes of 800 to 2,400m (2,600 to 7,900ft) above sea level.

Its natural habitat is tropical forest, but the trees are increasingly being felled for timber and to make way for agriculture, and little virgin forest remains within its range.

H. pyrohypogaster was formerly classified as "endangered" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature but in 2012 the threat level was lowered to "vulnerable". This is on the basis that, although its forest habitat remains under pressure, it has been found at some new locations where it was not known before. The total population is now estimated to be in the range 2,500 to 9,999 individuals.

I didn't take the opportunity to go after this species this spring, so here is an image from last Spring that I've yet to post. This was the only male out of six I found that day that wasn't banded. Personally I think this species is over-studied, and I'm not persuaded that all that field study is not hurting this species in some locations, especially in the southern part of it's range which is under pressure already. Such studied populations behave differently than populations that are infrequently birded IMHO.

"You know life

Sometimes you just gotta stop caring about like

What everybody else thinks and just live your life, you know

Look

If you ain't failed couple times

You ain't ready for this

I don't crumble under pressure

I go heavy with this

Driving straight to the hole, I don't need no assist

If all I got is one shot, You know I ain't gone miss

I never take a hater serious, I'm petty with this

Never been the type to fold, I don't straddle the fence

Yeah, I might lose it all, I'll get it right back quick

I'm like a walking casino, 'cause I'ma takе that risk

I ain't scared of nothing but the old version of mе

I'm fired up, boy I love the cold version of me

I love the way I took the pain and now it's working for me

I'm coming back for everything that was taken from me

Ay what you thought it was, I'm like the little engine that could

They love my drive, they just wanna know what's under the hood

I wish you would tryna stop me, you gone get what you deserve

I'll show you how to take it from the bottom to the first

I know they tryna say you can't do it anyway

(talk your piece)

Ain't got no money in the bank, do it anyway

(I'ma do it)

I know you failed a couple times, but that's alright

We don't care what people think, do it anyway

I know they tryna say you can't do it anyway

(talk your piece)

Ain't got no money in the bank, do it anyway

(I'ma do it)

I know you failed a couple times, but that's alright

We don't care what people think, do it anyway

I remember when they said I couldn't, so now they ask me how I do it

When you really know you got it, you ain't never gotta prove it

When you started from the bottom, you ain't never scared of losing

Everything, all on God, is the only way I do it

Scared of what?

Scared of who?

Boy, I been had the juice, with an extra side of sauce

Boy I been had rague

Baby I got so much flavor and the pain is the seasoning

I promise I'ma get it, it don't matter what the season

I do it any day, everyday

I'ma get it in every way

Know they try to say that I can't, but I still doing it anyway

I don't care what they gonna say

I don't care what they gonna think

When you out here chasing your dreams, you don't care if people sleep

I wake them up when I speak, it's just a matter of time

Getting everything for me, it's just a matter of mine

I got audacity and confidence, a deadly combination

Yeah, I hear them talking, I just call it admiration

I know they tryna say you can't do it anyway

(talk your piece)

Ain't got no money in the bank, do it anyway

(I'ma do it)

I know you failed a couple times, but that's alright

We don't care what people think, do it anyway

I know they tryna say you can't do it anyway

(talk your piece)

Ain't got no money in the bank, do it anyway

(I'ma do it)

I know you failed a couple times, but that's alright

We don't care what people think, do it anyway

Eeh, eeh do it anyway

Eeh, eeh do it anyway

Eeh, eeh do it anyway

Eeh, eeh do it anyway

Know they tryna say you can't do it anyway

You ain't got no money in the bank, do it anyway

I know you failed a couple times, but that's alright

We don't care what they said, do it anyway"
