PRECIOSA ORNELA presents a new pressed bead known as PRECIOSA Ripple™ under the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads brand.
The circular bead with a 12 mm diameter has a centrally located hole and an undulating surface on both sides. The identical profile of both sides of the bead enable its 100% use during the application of a series of ten new types of combined, dual color vacuum decorations called California. The undulating surface of the bead causes a ripple to pass through the metallic decoration in both the shiny and matt finish. The centrally located hole predestines this bead to be used in combination with seed beads or fire polished beads during stringing or embroidery.
Certificates
Product certificate according to the PN 0860 Industrial Standard and the PN 0800 – PN 0826 Material Standards. With the exception of color Nos. 71000 and 71010, none of the Pressed Bead colors contain lead and/or lead oxide.
Direction for use
Specific properties of the product need to be understood: small beads should be kept away from children (danger of swallowing and/or inhalation); larger glass products should be protected against breakage (danger of sharp pieces of glass).
Warning
Slight color deviations due to natural properties of glass cannot be avoided.

Pressing sugar into our Santa Fe frame Chef David Ramirez cast and assembled this chocolate sugar piece.
Just popping in to say hi...busy week, so I will catch up with everyone soon.
Not sure what it was about this little church in Rockville, but it caught my attention several times, and I finally asked Mike to stop so I could take a shot. I think it was the colorful little clock out front that coordinated nicely with the trim on the church :-)
Have a great Thursday, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments!!!!!

found this rose pressed between the pages of an antique German book of Christian martyrs. The printing in the book was gorgeous enough to merit a photo but the rose was a perfect addition and surprise when I opened the pages.

When I opened up the dictionary this evening to find my epiphany, I also found this flower. I'm guessing it's been in there at least five years...

The rear suspension pivot bearing has worn on my Moulton TSR. Not really surprising after 12,000 all-weather miles since 2011.
The original bolt has been removed, and tube has been withdrawn and the bronze bushes have been drifted out.
Anti-seize compound has been applied to the new bronze bearings and they have been pressed into place by using a long bolt with large washers.

Pressed flower under glass; part of a mixed-media mosaic dining table.

I will be hard pressed to do this again. The blooms are incredibly slimey/sticky, and need to be pulled apart to press. The eggplant color at the base is very thick too... but they did stay yellow, and not hard to take out of the book press at all.
When Mr RS and I first started seeing one another, he informed me apologetically that he 'didn't do romance'. When pressed a little, it turned out that he didn't really know how to do big, flamboyant, romantic gestures. This is fine by me, as it's not my style either.
On the day he proposed to me, instead of wining, dining, jewellery and armfuls of flowers, he simply got down on one knee, yelped the question at me, and hid his face in my lap. Who could resist? For me, the romance of a marriage proposal, is someone you love, asking you to spend the rest of your life with them.
Romance is someone making you a cup of tea without being asked. Romance is someone telling you that they love you, for no reason other than it's true. Romance is someone leaving the light on for you at bedtime so you don't fall down the stairs in the dark.
Romance is someone holding your hand.
Romance for the February Scavenger Hunt.
