The lettuce was about three times bigger when I started but I did a poor job of fixing it to the stand so it fell down and disintegrated in a way you would not think possible....it just went to pieces :)) so I taped the usable bits back together and fixed it to the lightstand again and quickly did some shots ...phew - very dramatic lettuce photo session

If you can't come up with characters, don’t waste your time and leave them alone. It is always possible to create a story without minifigures in the frame. This is exactly what I did when I took a vacation-themed photo to support a contest on @brickcentral
Never be afraid to give the viewer the opportunity to dream up and finish the plot on their own. Build the scenery and place hints with parts and accessories. Who are these people who rest here? What are they talking about behind the scenes? Can you smell the pool water still churning after someone's jump? Just imagine a relaxing saturday evening by the pool.
Getting to grips with these delicious soft velvet boots, they fit like gloves if that makes sense. (lol). Thanks to the lovely Miss Tanya Fox for making this movie possible. xxx.
Control knobs at the old steam plant. Would you guess that it was a cloudy, rainy morning? It’s possible to make a chiaroscuro with soft, indirect light. It's just ... softer.
I actually spotted this place on street view, and went to go see it for myself. And from what I can tell, I think this place was a sod home? What do you think? I can’t quite tell if the bricks are, well, brick, or if they’re made of earth or mud and dried. I’m sad to see it falling down but glad I found it when I did! Just look up “sod house” and see what I mean. It’s similar, at least. This place was clearly posted so I couldn’t go further than these photos, unfortunately.

Reef Village is a new Condo and Time Share project in Belize on Ambergris Caye just north of San Pedro across the Boca Del Rio Bridge
It stays light very late in midsummer, and on a clear night, as long as you're away from artificial lighting, it's possible to see for a long time after sunset (9.40pm)
This was taken at 11pm. It wan't as light as this, although still bright enough to get to this point without torchlight. In the sky the stars are starting to appear

Late July 2023...
This month of storms was just down right jaw dropping. Why not continue since we didn't have any storms in May or June! Overtime for July is the way I like it!
90% of the time of year in South Central Nebraska is Hot & Humid. It is normally the beginning of our dry season. But not in 2023.
In the path of the Jet Stream that day that forced some severe thunderstorm development over south central Nebraska. We were not excepting anything super severe but a tornado or 2 is always possible this time of year.
Gear Primed & excited about the views I'm going to get for this event that day. I knew they were going to be photogenic.

This is what I see from my new home in Ankara..quite often with flocks of birds foraging around for food on the fields opposite me.
And I'll soon be 'in the direction'' of Istanbul as we have a long religious holiday.Before leaving,I'll try to catch up as much as possible,albeit slowly..sorry if I cannot catch up with everybody.But sooner or later,I will..you know that:)

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

It is possible that one day I will swim past one of these without taking a photo, but it seems unlikely.
This monster is almost a meter in diameter. The spots on the mantle are light sensitive so it can shut a bit for predators, but they can never completely close. The mantle colours are the real treat: purples and greens and yellows and reds. Sometimes blue.
All I would say is Alaska is a beautiful place, when you go, take your time and stay as much longer as possible.
I always try to get to know the animals I photograph, if possible.
I think this was about the third time we had tried this. Jan, wasn't to thrilled with the idea. But, she did a pretty good job. She was using her little Canon PowerShot for this one. I liked how the squirrel was really stretching to get the peanut.
A little old and a little new, outtakes and experimentation. Never uploaded this before (or ever any outtakes, really) so I may as well share it now. I have been shooting a lot recently with models and it's been wonderful and exactly what I've been wanting to do for a while. Possible more frequent reappearances from myself on the horizon, too, hopefully. X
One of the things I hate about being trans is just how plastic we are Barbie has nothing on us lot.
What I mean is basically without major surgery everything about us almost always fake. Some have their own hair but most of us wear a wig. some have a little bit more up top but once again more often than not its the silicone that gives us that uplifting feeling of a bosom. and lets face it we just don't have the hips for this girl lark.
So no wonder I feel at times something like a major fake!!!!
I like to be as authentic as possible and dispose of the fake assets I use when it is at all possible. Now I am blessed or cursed (pending on what me you are talking to) with a nice handful and bit in the bosom area and I sort of have something in the way of hips.
The above photo was an experiment to see if I could get away with not using any shapewear,
So in this I am not wearing a bra at all. no corset and nothing to give me hips. the bit that is fake is my hair. So in reality this is as authentic as I can get. Just wish I could ditch the wig.

Ive had trouble stitching low light panorama in the past but now I just overexpose them, stitch them and then just pull the exposure slider. Due to the moving stars I opted to move across as fast as possible and used my 24mm rather than my usual 50mm and turned off my DFNR and just worked on the noise in post.
France; Brenne 1/8/16. From these and several other shots this beast seemed to fulfil virtually all id criteria for the species in lighter summer coat. Of coarse, statistically it's as likely to be a hybrid, but it's pretty damn close.
Ever had the feeling that you are about to get wet ;)! Another bad weather shot, this time taken on heathland near Creech - don't you just love this sort of weather for mood shots :) And don't you just love trees :)........in fact, isn't creation and our countryside wonderful whatever the weather!
And, yes, I did get WET :)!!

It is often a matter of minutes whether you get the picture or not. After all, it has proven many times that the moment is not waiting for you. This morning the weather had been a bit gloomy so I did not expect anything, I was just going to be calm and do less than nothing if that was possible.
Suddenly I saw where the morning sun crept from under the thick cloud and gave off a beautiful red-yellow light. I looked out the window towards Krikjubæjarklaustur and saw that there was a sun stripe over the town.
The drone was quickly assembled, put in the air and boom. After a few shots, the sun disappeared again and was not seen again that day.

I have been busy this evening researching information about this tiny little pigeon who arrived in our garden this afternoon.. It is Australian. I can only think it must be an escapee as they do not live in the UK but are bred in captivity here. It spent about an hour in the garden eating seeds and drinking water with the Sparrows. It flew off to the fields. Has anyone else ever seen one and is it possible for it to survive our cold winters is the question I ask?
