EB CN grain train - G898 is seen hauling ass past the old CC&P station sign in Lena, IL. A wave (through the open window) from the engineer is made possible by the near 70 degree weather in February.
The photo was taken a cold -14c and gale early morning not so far from where I live, on the way to work. Had to dim the colors a bit, but have tried to keep it as close to reality as possible, these colors you see here only appear when we have entered the polar night up here far north and east.
Yeah, use teas whenever possible :P...i.e cranberry and strawberry tea for that aromatic finish to your work :P ...and perforated fingers too...
One of the things I hate about being trans is just how plastic we are Barbie has nothing on us lot.
What I mean is basically without major surgery everything about us almost always fake. Some have their own hair but most of us wear a wig. some have a little bit more up top but once again more often than not its the silicone that gives us that uplifting feeling of a bosom. and lets face it we just don't have the hips for this girl lark.
So no wonder I feel at times something like a major fake!!!!
I like to be as authentic as possible and dispose of the fake assets I use when it is at all possible. Now I am blessed or cursed (pending on what me you are talking to) with a nice handful and bit in the bosom area and I sort of have something in the way of hips.
The above photo was an experiment to see if I could get away with not using any shapewear,
So in this I am not wearing a bra at all. no corset and nothing to give me hips. the bit that is fake is my hair. So in reality this is as authentic as I can get. Just wish I could ditch the wig.
France; Brenne 1/8/16. From these and several other shots this beast seemed to fulfil virtually all id criteria for the species in lighter summer coat. Of coarse, statistically it's as likely to be a hybrid, but it's pretty damn close.
Ever had the feeling that you are about to get wet ;)! Another bad weather shot, this time taken on heathland near Creech - don't you just love this sort of weather for mood shots :) And don't you just love trees :)........in fact, isn't creation and our countryside wonderful whatever the weather!
And, yes, I did get WET :)!!
This one is def better for viewing on black.
I hope you all have a great week ahead.
Here's a link to my latest BLOG entry which I put up a few days ago..
The intrepid mist chasers, Bob and Jay, were criss-crossing the levels this morning before dawn, searching for a spot to shoot!
We saw a couple of 'future possibles' that weren't looking great today and ended up on Walton Hill, near Street.
The normal shot from this spot is of the Tor, but that direction was hazy, this direction was full of low lying mist that ebbed and flowed as the dawn broke.
Really looking forward to standing in a frosty spot to take a shot like this, the warm weather has been a bonus.... but bring on the cold!!
Thanks for checking out my photo my friends!
I hope that you like the photo!

Not sure on this one I can see the older two, but the little one may get the axe. Let me know what you think I think. 🤔
Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler. ~Albert Einstein
I love simplicity in photography. I think you know that already. :)
I took this on a walk this week that took in part of Ackling Dyke, a Roman road that ran from Badbury Rings to Old Sarum. The road was up to 50 feet wide and 6 feet high in places and its size was thought to be a deliberate ploy to impress as it wasn't necessary for it to be quite so substantial.
It is possible to walk part of the old road although the Salisbury A road was built on part which seems a sacrilege to me! This is probably not the most picturesque part of the Dyke but it was the amazing sky that grabbed me.
Oh yes, and a HFF to you all :)!
Have a very happy Easter everyone.
It is not possible is it ?, to capture a dragonfly in flight with a Nikon Z6. Taken in the wild at RSPB Leighton Moss.
I don't like tomatoes. Well, I can eat ketchup on fries and I can eat a gallon of salsa . . . but raw tomatoes skeeve me out. With that said, I needed a photo for FGR 2.0 and Wednesday Windowsill. So there you go.
It is POSSIBLE that I might have an issue with taking pictures of kids with chickens. No one minds though, right? I have to add that shooting a BABY (particularly a mobile one) with a chicken is sort of like herding cats. So give me some credit here. :P

Culprit: Fireflies - She's My Witch
It was determined early in the development of the Surcohen and related cruiser submarines that the primary limitation of the surface armament was in rangefinding - a submarine was simply not tall enough to get a sight picture out to the maximum range of the 203mm guns. A hangar was immediately added, but it was little more than a narrow pressure tube, and no existing floatplane could be disassembled to fit. Solving the problem would take nearly three years of development, until the prototype Zakkurta flew in late 1939. Serialised production was slow for the next year, limiting the type to the Aramean Navy's submarine fleet, but a manufacturing breakthrough in the finicky glass canopy assembly sped up production so significantly that it became possible to equip most of the surface cruiser fleet by the start of 1942, saving considerable space.

“Inception, is it possible?”
Recently, I took part in a building challenge organized by Nathaniel for SaltyLUG. Our goal was to guess from a piece of music the film it came from and to build a scene from it, this being Christopher Nolan’s 2010 “Inception” of course. The scene that stuck out to me the most was at the end which drew many theorists to believe that Cobb was still dreaming at the end of the film.
I started out by building the table and details on top such as the spinning top. That part was completed for the challenge, as we only had an hour to build our scene. After the challenge, I started work on the rest of the build as I really wanted to finish it with a nice base and a few other details. The sign was something I especially wanted to do and was also probably the most time consuming. It’s built using cheese slopes fit in and held in by friction. The rest of the details then came together shortly after.
I hope you enjoyed something different from me other than my usual Star Wars creations. I’m a big Nolan fan so I might end up going back and building other scenes from his films. Let me know below what yours is and which scene from what movie I should try next :)
Noel is studying to be an architect like his dad and big brother are. Caleb probably got all the good genes, but Noel is pretty hardworking on his own.
Some might call it such.
The odd quality of the light here presaged the atmospheric changes we've experienced as wildfires sweep the Pacific Northwest. Shot several days ago. This air was caused by California fires, several of which were/are large. The Golden Gate Bridge spans the horizon.
I hope your Friday goes better than it does for many on the Pacific Coast of America. The news from the wildfires is very disturbing to us all. Sending best hopes and wishes to those directly affected.
In the SF Bay Area we are impacted by quite bad air, in the range presenting a definite health danger. Meteorologists tell us we can look for some relief by Sunday night or Monday morning--when the jet stream is expected to bring a wave of northern air moving onto the North American land mass and "skirting" the northwestern United States.
