I remember taking this pic a couple of years ago. I was actually sitting in a parking lot, waiting for my brother to come out to the car, when the sky opened up like some kind of portal to heaven! I was entranced by the beauty of it, and took many shots, hoping to capture the splendor of it, but not a single one quite nailed it. Even with processing, what I saw in person far outshone the image my camera and I could render, but it's still beautiful.
A few days ago the luck was with me. Mist & Sun, even my slightly sickness couldn´t hold me back. It was the same day as the drone shot before (more to come).
Location: A forest near Ebing, Bavaria

The Portal World's moon is visible for most of the day and all of the night, in certain locations. The red sky is a result of the time of day, the sky changes color continuously.
So I am off on a two day jaunt, and guess what I forgot! My camera!!! I'm such an idiot!!! I had so many shots in my head I wanted to take, all the tracks, stations, cielings, escalators, blurs.....damn!!! The horror and sadness I felt as I was rushing for the train made me realize I have serious issues, I think I have turned into a photo junkie!!! And lord help me, I'm loving it!!:-)))))
At least I got my iPad!! Some salvation!!
Hope I have time and Internet connection to keep up, might be a bit touch and go.
Happy Thursday everyone!!!

A wonderful week dear friends ! : )
Thank you for your visit, invitations and kind comments these last days !
All the best to you with love and light always in your path and life ! : )
this is a superposition of two images that were created on film and then merged together in photoshop to create a double exposure. I love the fact that photography is so wide open, anything is possible. the only limits are the ones we impose on ourselves.
cette image est une superposition crée avec deux images sur pellicules qui ont été superposées dans photoshop. j'adore le fait que la photo est sans limites, vraiment. tout est possible. les seules limites, en fait, sont celles que nous nous imposons.
The portal closed very quickly on Friday night as a storm moved across the Brisbane CBD bringing torrential rain and some lightning strikes.
Night portal (actually subway at Potterrow, but here it looks like some sort of portal to another realm)

"Sky Portal" by artist Randy Walker, 2014, Anderson-Abruzzo Balloon Museum, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“The story of lighter-than-air flight is animated with circles, spheres, rings, and radiating lines. Configured into the elegant balloon form, these geometries change our perception of both earth and sky. Inspired by the structures, history and experience of ballooning, Sky Portal seeks to create a specific place where people come together at the point where sky and earth converge.” -- artist Randy Walker
