Das Rathaus zu Naumburg/Saale wurde ursprünglich Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts erbaut, nach einem Stadtbrand wiedererrichtet und später einigen Umbauten unterzogen. Das Renaissance-Portal erhielt das bis heute erhalten gebliebene Türblatt.
The town hall of Naumburg/Saale was originally built at the end of the 15th century, rebuilt after a town fire and later underwent some modifications. The Renaissance portal received the door leaf that has survived to this day.

I caught up with a couple of mates this morning to check out Sydney’s Sculptures By The Sea.
For those of you reading this abroad, Sculptures By The Sea is an outdoor exhibition event held along the cliffs of Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs each year.

Siempre busco un motivo para volver a los lugares que visito y me impactan profundamente...En este caso necesité volver porque el día que me había tocado visitar la isla llovió copiosamente y se puso imposible transitar por las callejuelas... Ahora deseo volver para quedarme aquí a contemplar la más bella puesta de sol de Grecia y algunos dicen "mejor del mundo"...
Este portal es de un restaurante remodelado sobre una casa del siglo XVll . Está justo debajo de la Catedral Metropolitana de Fira , en Santorini y es el unico lugar que ofrece la vista directa a la caldera del volcán.
Los antiguos artesanos hicieron el esqueleto del local de piedra pomez para asegurar un aislamiento perfecto y aspa, que es un material volcánico muy fuerte y duradero,

The Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) is the most visited landmark in Germany and the tallest twin-spired church in the world. It.s construction began in 1248, but was completed only in 1880 in accordance to with it's original medieval plan.

Hoy, la mayoría de los portales habaneros están sucios y ruinosos, debido a la desidia, con la mayoría de sus columnas rajadas y rotos sus capiteles.
Los portales de las casas que antes servían para protegerse del sol y de la lluvia o para sentarse a tomar el fresco y conversar, ahora sirven como sitios de ventas que venden los nuevos vendedores por cuenta propia.
Su utilización como locales comerciales improvisados; espacios rentados por los dueños de las casas a los cuentapropistas para la venta de ropas, zapatos, pinturas, etc., representa un nuevo fenómeno: la capitalización de la superficie habitable como medio de subsistencia.
Los moradores rentan los portales, y a veces también la sala, si la vivienda no tiene un portal o tiene uno muy pequeño; el objetivo es lograr algún ingreso.
Muchos de los vendedores de los portales son trabajadores cesanteados por el Estado, o que dejaron sus mal pagados empleos y encontraron en la venta y reventa de cualquier cosa una forma de ganar algunos pesos para sobrevivir en espera de tiempos mejores. La mayor parte de ellos es relativamente joven y son mayoritariamente mujeres. Todos parecen entender que esto de vender en los portales no es suficientemente rentable como oficio permanente.
Para ganarse unos 20 o 30 pesos diarios, y hasta 50 (dos dólares), los días buenos, los vendedores pasan entre ocho y diez horas sentados en sus portales anunciando su mercancía. Mientras, otros aprovechan para venderles a ellos comida. De esta manera va creciendo un tejido comercial incipiente, pero generador de economía, aunque a muy pequeña escala.

I remember taking this pic a couple of years ago. I was actually sitting in a parking lot, waiting for my brother to come out to the car, when the sky opened up like some kind of portal to heaven! I was entranced by the beauty of it, and took many shots, hoping to capture the splendor of it, but not a single one quite nailed it. Even with processing, what I saw in person far outshone the image my camera and I could render, but it's still beautiful.
Inspired by this amazing head piece which brought to my mind this idea of the owl which then transformed to this Enchantress walking out into the woods at night in order to perform a secret magic rite. She opened a portal...
