Guess who's doing all the work on the 26 today :-)

Well this is the remains of lasagna I made tonight (see photo in the first comment for the story of the recipe, suffice to say it was made with left over spicy sauce from a meal last week). Martin ate the larger part where the spatula is, I ate the smaller half portion. Served with a tasty salad. As you can see there is as much left over so in the freezer it goes for another day!

I'm loving the new Canon camera but I've had a busy day & couldn't be bothered with faffing around & downloading photos to the laptop - the iPhone has it's uses.

Popular with tourists and locals alike. The daily, free light show on the area of Gardens by the Bay.

At 7.45pm and 8.45pm every day a spectacular light show starts. The Super Trees light up the night sky to the beat of the music, creating a unique atmosphere.

There are different show themes during the year. We had the theme “An Evening of Musical Theater”. A mixture of different opera music pieces.

We recommend being there half an hour before the start. And bring a blanket, jacket, scarf. The show is best experienced while lying down.

The Ford Popular, often called the Ford Pop, was built in England between 1953 and 1962. When launched, it was Britain's lowest priced car. This 1936 Ford Popular, BRT 665, was seen at Brooklands Classic Car Day on 30th March 2024.

Saturday saw quite a gallery at the GCR’s most popular location, 65894 unfortunately just wins the race with a rather fine patch of full sun while hauling the “minerals”.

Minutes after seeing the Ambassador I saw this old beauty. I love a car that looks like this.

A very popular place for enthusiasts to do paragliding right along the waters edge of the Pacific Ocean. The cliffs can be upwards of 100 feet above the water line, making for some especially strong stable winds for this sport. I bet the view is great!

Popular beach and boating. Clontarf Beach is one of the best Sydney beaches for kids of all ages, but especially for little kids, babies and toddlers. Clontarf Beach is a large sandy foreland that has been formed by ocean waves pushing sand deep into this part of Middle Harbour, 5 km from the Heads. The waves have built out the beach up to 300 m, providing the low sandy foreland now occupied by Clontarf Park and beachfront homes along Monash Crescent. The park has long been a popular area, with daytrippers arriving by ferry in the 19th century and now by car and boat. The park has amenities, a kiosk and is fronted by a netted tidal pool. The beach is moderately steep, with a narrow strip of intertidal sand, then the deeper water of the harbour. It trends 440 m along the southwest-facing side of the foreland, which is backed by beachfront houses, then the park. It then continues for another 200 m along the northern northwest-facing side, which includes the tidal pool and which terminates at the mouth of a small creek. Beach continues north of the creek for 130 m to a seawall and rocky point. It is a low energy, west-facing strip of sand and fronted by 50 m wide sand flats, with the Clontarf Marina and jetty crossing the northern end of the beach. Numerous boats are moored off the northern side of Clontarf and adjacent Sandy Bay, with the Clontarf Marine located on the boundary between the two, providing access and service for the boats. 19304

The Spanish Steps are located on the Piazza di Spagna in Rome. The term Spanish Steps is often used as a popular name for this square. Here is also the Fontana della Barcaccia literally: Fountain of the ugly boat . The fountain provides the Piazza di Spagna with a picturesque appearance. The Stairs belong to the church Trinitá dei Monti. The church, with its two towers dominating the Spanish Steps, was originally founded by the French King Louis XII in 1502. Already in the 17th century they wanted to connect this church with the square below where the Spanish embassy was located, hence the name Piazza di Spagna. There is an Obelisk in front of the church. The Obelisk Sallustiano is one of the thirteen old obelisks of Rome. It was built in Roman imperial times in imitation of the Egyptian obelisks. The obelisk was given in 1738 to Pope Clement XII. On 8 December, the Pope traditionally brings a flower tribute to the statue of Mary at the foot of the Spanish Steps.

Fitteen minutes earlier, Whitlocks End had been deserted following the departure of the 1847 to Worcester Foregate Street (see Whitlocks End Illuminated). Then a gaggle of people arrived, whom I naively thought were waiting for the 1859 departure to Stratford-upon-Avon for a festive night on the tiles. Not so, they had turned up to see the last Vintage Trains 'Polar Express' of the season, with the outward leg, 1Z18 1842 ex-Birmingham Moor Street hauled by Class 47 No. 47773 pictured arriving into the station.
