Thanks to fellow flickorite and 1Z10 member Duncan McEvoy for the heads up for this location which is Towthorpe about 5 miles outside of York on the line to Scarborough.

I was in position for sunrise which turned out to be a bit of a non event on this morning but i did get a nice shot of Venus in close proximity to the new crescent moon.

Back to buisness and here we see 37419 leading the 3J51 0950 York Thrall to York Thrall Nth Yks RHTT service with 37422 bringing up the rear.

Popular location for walkers is the Panorama Walk above Barmouth. Although I've seen plenty of photographs of this place, I don't think I've ever seen a panorama taken there. With a name like the Panorama Walk it only seemed logical to take a panorama photograph :)

On thing to remember is to check my settings before shooting, ended up shooting jpeg all day instead of Raw :(

A popular area in the Millennium Park in Chicago houses two 50 foot towers designed by Jaume Plensa, a Catalan conceptual artist. Light emitting diodes show the faces of 1,000 Chicagoans on the inward-facing surfaces of the towers. Every five minutes the lips pucker and a fountain of water shoots from subjects' mouth

This winter has been a very good one to see Hooded Mergansers in my travels. This lone female Merganser has 3 males taking an interest in her.
