Ontario Place Pods, Toronto, were designed by Eb Zeidler. They were originally used for exhibitions at this public park/attraction. Now much of Ontario Place needs renovation. The city and citizen groups have been arguing what to do about it -- some want to demolish it and others want to renovate it because of its cultural heritage. Grunge texture added.

Canon Sure Shot WP-1

fujifilm standard 400

Some months ago I saw a documentary about Fred Herzog and at one point they show him in close up shooting with a Canon WP-1 camera. It literally appears as though a kids toy camera.

I strive to get that authentic mid-century analog look, but the cost of a Leica is prohibitive. So why not buy a $100 camera as was used by one of the masters of photography?

I absolutely love it with it's 32mm lens and wonderful ergo dynamics....

Now I have to find the right film. KodaChrome is out, so any suggestions?

Statues in Dublin officially called "The Meeting Place", but known by locals as "The Hags with the Bags".

“The mind I love most must have wild places, a tangled orchard where dark damsons drop in the heavy grass, an overgrown little wood, the chance of a snake or two, a pool that nobody fathomed the depth of, and paths threaded with wild flowers planted by the mind.” - Katherine Mansfield.

This scene was taken early December during the stark transitions of the seasons. Sometimes a little light can make some sense of the chaos in these wild woods.

The little pier makes a great place to sit and take in the view.

Archive dipping on a dull day - this was Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place; on Crosby Beach, Liverpool.in January 2020. I took loads of shots here at the time but only uploaded the one for my 365 and one or two others later on.

Statue of Harry Jerome in Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Henry "Harry" Winston Jerome

(September 30, 1940 – December 7, 1982) was a Canadian track and field runner.

While he never took home Olympic Gold, his 100-metre sprint record of 10 seconds from 1960 held until the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City and Jerome stayed a ferocious international competitor for more than 10 years.
