We are the Wastelanders.

We are persecuted for our lineage.

The UNCE wants every last one of us dead and our planet desecrated with their mining machines.

But we will not have it.

We are The children of the Dra'Delle.

And Dra'Nush is our land.

Okay, here's the beginning of a story I made a while back about a group of human-alien hybrids(The aliens being the Dra'Delle) on a colony-planet far away from Earth. The UNCE(United Nations and Colonies of Earth), basically the rulers of Earth and most extrasolar colonies, wants to turn Dra'Nush into a mining colony because there is a large quantity of Ununoctium, the key element in Directed energy technology. But the Dra'sapia(Name for the near-human hybrids) won't give up their homeworld without a fight.

I imagine the Dra'sapia to look a bit like the people in this illustration by the grotesquely great Keith Thompson:

There are many strange and powerful weapon in the Gestalt arsenal but few are as cruel as the Erinys. It's method of killing its target has been described as nothing less than barbarous but to Alekto, its owner this matters little.

First a bolt of energy burns away any armor in its way to allow a sliver of crystallized toxic compound to reach the unprotected parts of the target and then the horrifying part starts. The fast acting toxins paralyze the body while still allowing the targets vital organ to function normally. Then a special, fast spreading flesh eating bacteria starts to eat away at the targets body, cell by cell while the target is being kept alive and conscious for as long as possible by stimulants. Death follows some excruciating minutes later.

During Alekto's early years as a Gestalt she was know to be quiet and clam in disposition but after she and five other Naiads were captured by the Hierarchy and were experimented on in order to learn the secrets of the Gestalts, she was changed. Of her six brothers and sister she was the only one to survive. After recovering from the ordeal and returning to her training she began to exhibit strong, often times even irrational hate towards the Hierarchy. Her cruelty in combat against the Hierarchy has often caused her to butt heads with her more conservative peers but she show little remorse for her actions.

The Erinys is her own creation and under it hang five Hierarchy name tags, each one carrying the name of a fellow prisoner from all those years ago. A constant remainder of the source of her hatred.

Mhaulkore: Kinslayer pistols

It was said the greatest adventurers to roam the stars were the Mhaul Brothers.

Khorre and Lukthor left the safety of the skies at a point in time when space was ruled by pirates and dreadful alien horrors that the human alliance feared to defy. A decade of run-ins with the pirates found themselves somewhere between respect and fear. Then they surprised all when they made peace and joined with one of the larger Pirate fleets, promising to push their raids to regions unheard of. Before long piracy dropped as the raiders raced one another to the depths of space seeking adventure and wealth in unknown planets and astroid feilds. Mining leaped forward feeding off new discoveries and the human alliance found themselves with more than enough resources to finally craft themselves a space empire worthy of standing toe-to-toe with alien foes. At this time there was a surge of technology like none had know before. Using the most precious of materials the Mhual Brothers crafted two pistols, one for each of them, that rivalled all other weapons. Even large assault rifles created for the finest of the alliance paled to these two pistols in battle, although many said it was simply the great skill of the weilders themselves that made the pistols so fearful.

War with a F'tual species however dealt a hard blow. The Mhaul Brothers gathered the shattered armies of the alliance beneath them and led them to victory over the F'tual, driving the race of pale technologically advanced humanoids out of existence, the first and so far only occurance of such mass genocide. Humanity prevailed although it cost much of its greatest technology. Never again would such things as were made in that previous age be crafted again. The Mhaul brother's pistols were now a thing of legend.

They continued to push the limits of space, leading crews deep into the unknown, facing and defeating many an alien foe. Humanity knew no fear at that time. But alas those times would change.

Lukthor became corrupt, for reasons unknown, but no longer was the elder brother the kind quiet man of wisdom he once was. His silver hair faded to a white and his skin lost all its color. He became irritable, and it was later learned he had spun a webb of corruption and darkness deep within the Alliance that to this day isn't completely purged. He attempted in one great turn to take complete control of the Human Empire. But even as he strode up the steps to the capital's Grand Senate Tower, he and his followers were stopped by one man, Khorre Mhaul.

Brother drew pistol at brother, and it was said the distruction of their battle was the greater than that of a hundred men fighting. The stairs were left smoldering with craters, Lukthors men long slain just from being so close to the fight. Yet brother could not match brother. Khorre, the youngest, was not as wise or experienced as his brother, but he was stronger and faster. His once long black hair singed to stubs at their fight. But in the end brother stood with pistol pointed at brother.

"On our Father's blood, no such Evil is of our lineage. Lukthor is dead, I only see before me a vile corpse that would mock what was once beautiful life." From that time forwards would Lukthor be renamed to Kragg, meaning "defiled" in old tongue, by the historical archives.

It was then, that the fight began anew, but Khorre was filled with a fire like no other and bested his brother in a superhuman display of speed that found him pointing both guns at Kragg, now disarmed.

It is recorded that he fired without hesitation. The Pistols remained with Khorre Mhaul, who named them Mhaulkore Kinslayers, for they drew the blood of his brother.

It was said that he flew his ship into the void beyond the galactic rim, pushing the last boundry limiting man at the time. The Mhaulkore Legion, those of the Mhaul House that had not followed Lukthor into disgrace, claim that one day they will find him again flying distant worlds in the next galaxy, and ever do they push for technology to do so. It is rumored such technology existed in the old days, before the F'tual War. The rumor states that only one ship was built with this technology, a special craft built to the order of the Mhaul Brothers. But no one knows if this was indeed the craft that Khorre flew away in.

It was found that he left everything he owned behind, except for two pistols and an old star-compass.

Prior to the construction of Waddesdon Manor, no house existed on the site. Ferdinand de Rothschild wanted a house in the style of the great Renaissance châteaux of the Loire Valley.[25] Ferdinand chose as his architect Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur.[26] Destailleur was already experienced in working in this style, having overseen the restoration of many châteaux in that region, in particular that of the Château de Mouchy.

Through Destailleur's vision, Waddesdon embodied an eclectic style based on the châteaux so admired by his patron, Baron Ferdinand. The towers at Waddesdon were based on those of the Château de Maintenon, and the twin staircase towers, on the north facade, were inspired by the staircase tower at the Château de Chambord.[27] However, following the theme of unparalleled luxury at Waddesdon, the windows of the towers at Waddesdon were glazed, unlike those of the staircase at Chambord. They are also far more ornate.

The structural design of Waddesdon was not all retrospective. Hidden from view were the most modern innovations of the late 19th century including a steel frame, which took the strain of walls on the upper floors, which consequently permitted the layout of these floors to differ completely from the lower floors.[28] The house also had hot and cold running water in its bathrooms, central heating, and an electric bell system to summon the numerous servants. The building contractor was Edward Conder & Son.[29]

After the Manor was completed in 1883, Ferdinand quickly decided it was too small. The Bachelors' Wing to the east was extended after 1885 and the Morning Room, built in late-Gothic style, was added to the west after 1888.[30] The stables to the west of the Manor were built in 1884. Ferdinand and his stud groom devised the plan, working with Conder. Destailleur designed the façades in a French 17th-century style.[31]

Wine Cellars[edit]

Wine Cellars

The Wine Cellars in the Manor were created during the Centenary Restoration and opened in 1994. They are modeled on the private cellars at Château Lafite Rothschild. More than 15,000 bottles are stored in the Cellars, some 150 years old, the majority from the Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Mouton Rothschild estates. It is the largest private collection of Rothschild wines in the world. There are also wine labels designed by artists such as Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol.[32]
