Pisces New Moon SoulCollage! my FIRST SoulCollage card! At last!
I've had the book "SoulCollage" for a few years now but couldn't get myself to make any, and when I did this card I realized why. I'm too literal - I can't shut off the part of my brain that wants to decipher everything BEFORE I make it. Since this was a card about Pisces New Moon energy (see www.newmoonjournal.com) I wanted to figure out what SHOULD go on the card and then put it there. But what I WANT from soulcollage is to create a card in a trance and then be surprised by the outcome. I did manage to somewhat do that with this, although I couldn't stop myself from putting the fish in there.

Zodiac reliefs from Brauweiler – before 1141
Diese Tierkreisreliefs schmückten den nördlichen Seitenturm der Abteikirche in Pulheim-Brauweiler bei Köln. Sie wurden vor 1141 dort eingemauert als Teil des reichen Skulpturenschmucks der Kirche. Einige Reliefs sind verloren gegangen.
Zur Entstehungszeit der Reliefs gab es in Deutschland noch wenig Skulpturenschmuck an Kirchen und das Thema des Tierkreises ist damals einmalig.

I've decided to start a watercolor project based on Astrology - since I'm basically obsessed. In the least Blair Witch kind of way.
This is Pisces.

Its symbol is in the bottom right corner - the fish. I did a sunken in pose, Pisces is very much withdrawn in self thought. Her dress also has some fishy scales.
I'm going to continue doing this series, and prints are available on my Etsy.

The Pisces is a mixture of moods. Swirling back and forth, indecisive about their character. What is constant, however, is the Pisces' ability to attract others to them. They are naturally likeable creatures with equally alluring demeanor.
The Pisces wields the Pearl, another simple yet beautiful creation, much like itself.
