Here is Pip!! YummyFRESH's doll <3

Thanks for sending me this pic! I'm so happy that she's wearing the outfit that I made for her ^_^ She's soo cute! *-*

Pip the chicken died unexpectantly today from unknown causes at the young age of 3. Looking through the archives I realized that I unfortunately have no recent or decent pictures of her. I vow to capture the flock she left behind. Services will be held tomorrow at noon on Grandma's farm.

RIP Pip! You will be missed!

Casamento de Bruna. Lindas as pipas combinando com a decoração :).

Snapped this on the way down to the PiP walk today.

If I thought George was hard to work with earlier in the week, Pip was much more difficult... kept wanting to come closer, too close for the lens to focus.

Ok! Yesterday I hunkered down and worked on another faceup for the new Peregrin, and I'm definitely happier with it, than the one I tried to do a couple of weeks back and the one he came with.

However! The Cristal sculpt is pretty funny, I have to say! For example, it's kinda lopsided... You see it best when the face is bare of paint, and doesn't have its headcap on. Also, the eyes are really deep-set! I could swear that I drew the eyebrows right onto the actual eyebrow ridge, yet when completed, they look like they were placed high on the forehead. This is because the eyes are so deep-set, there's still a good distance between the eye and the eyebrow ridge. :P

I like the lip, but they too are a challenge, when trying to do a boy's faceup. I ended up trying to tone them down, and making them very light.

I fell back on my pastel and pencil methods too, because my shoulders are still not relaxed enough to prevent shaking in my left hand (drawing hand). Pencils give me that extra bit of control.

So yeah... No fancy brushwork, but the Pip at the very least looks pretty and feels like MY doll.

I think O'Carollan was glad to see him though... :)

Good Morning Pip!

I was going to make a prop up to resemble the fake Inca idol... then I thought .. the BBF is as much a symbol / icon of the lost culture to stand in .
