We got this for a candle but Pip decided she likes it. She loves to crawl in and then squirm then back out carefully.
I tried Pip out in the pink lati wig. Its really cute, but Pip has made it clear that he is NOT going to be turned into a girl. Fair enough I suppose.
Finally decided on a quilt design for my Sherbet Pips today! Was so excited, I started cutting right away! :)
I just finished this in time for our Blogi versary Giveaway. Hexies and quilting in variegated pink thread all hand sewn whilst enduring bedrest! I confess I love the way it's turned out. All it needs now is for someone to win it.

Pipo Mancera fué Houdini en 1971, cuando se escapó de dentro de un baúl metálico, encadenado, y dentro de las aguas del Río de La Plata, logrando un record de teleaudiencia pocas veces superado en la historia de la TV Argentina.

Eight year old Pip arrived as a stray at The Mayhew, but soon made a kennel friend in Rusty and now they co-habit at our rescue centre.
Don't let Pip's forlorn features fool you, he's a cheerful chap that loves a cuddle and a toddle out in the sunshine.
Pip told Bianca that they might stop now and come back tomorow morning when it would be a bit cooler. This was no weather to be working this hard!
Made using the inspiration from this quilt: www.flickr.com/photos/bluecottage/5741463230/in/faves-379...
Used two Sherbet Pips Charm Packs and Kona Cotton in White for the sashing.
Lion's Gulch & Homestead Meadows hike
On national forest land just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, trailhead at mile marker 8 on Hwy. 36 south of Estes Park.
Highlights:
- Dogs allowed off-leash
- Numerous stream crossings, great for the dogs to cool off
- Lots of shade along gulch
- Lots of green due to our rainy spring
- Blooming wildflowers
The plan was to get up early to beat the forecasted afternoon rain, high winds, and possible hail, but does 9:00 count as early? Didn't think so, but we went anyway, got to the trailhead a little before 11. The skies didn't look that bad, so we embarked on the hike.
The dogs really seemed to enjoy the hike -- along the gulch there were plenty of opportunities to splash in the creek, and there was lots of room to run in the meadow. They even tolerated the history lesson once we got to the homestead remains.
This is about as green as I can remember most any hike I've taken in the middle of the summer in CO -- undoubtedly a result of our unseasonably wet spring. In places (and with the rain we got on the hike out) I could almost imagine that we were somewhere in the Pacific northwest.
