Pipe estate Claude Romain St Claude acquise en 2009

'Nuff said. I think this was taken during "Cut Me Into A 1000 Pieces & Burn Them For 3 Weeks", which is the ultimate in musical self-deprecation.

Pip (my friend's male cat) really enjoys getting in touch with his feminine side.

The four eggs inside the incubator started pipping at around 7am yesterday morning. The eggs are from my own hens. ISA hens and Orpington Cockerels.

Today Pip saw snow for the first time in her life. She loves it.

PIP breakfast at 7th Avenue Bar and Restaurant Midland, Sunday 7th June 2009.

Great turn out, and great to see and meet so many new faces. Many thanks to Kezza (hiding behind the tree on the left) for organising this. (from mobile phone)

Happy birthday big sis!

Pip loves Heidi's ski outfits

Becky (littlegreycoconut) sent Pip some other goodies - including a lettuce sandwich, his favourite !

And she also made him a ladybird pet ^_^

The 2010 Malcolm Wilson Rally took place over seven forest stages in Whinlatter and Grizedale.

A field of more than 100 cars took part in the rall, which was based out of Cockermouth, a town hit badly by the winter floods in Cumbria.

There were two stages in Grizedale Forest, along the same tracks used for the Grizedale Stages Rally three months earlier.

Four of us went to D'Tandoor, an indian restaurant, after everyone else had left from the Paddo. It was good. Plus, I needed some food/time for the alcohol to wear off. :-)

Shot from the hip -- I think I need to do this more with Pip to capture his happy-go-lucky self.

A couple of friends are doing the "Couch to 5K" program, and though I still have philosophical difficulties with the idea of running for exercise (best stated by one of my college roommates, "why run unless you're being chased?") I thought I might give it a try ... and what better time than the first day of spring? And Pip was delighted to be my training partner.

I have to admit, though, that I jumped-in rather unprepared. For instance, the program prescribes a brisk 5-minute warm-up walk, followed by 60 seconds of jogging alternating with 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes. I suppose it would have helped to have some sort of timepiece to track each 60/90 second cycle, no?

It turns out that this initial training session was more of a dog training session, anyway -- as in no Pip, just because I am starting to jog you do not get to run full tilt. I think he kinda got it by the 20-minute mark.

Everyone meet Pip. She is a delicate soul with fierce untameable hair! She prefers the company of books and the smell of their pages.

These are the drawings which will be sent to the States of Guernsey Environment Department in order to gain Planning in Principle - the stage before we can get full planning permission. If these plans go through we stand a very good chance of succeeding in gaining full approval from the States for the works to begin. Then we just need a builder.

My old mucker Pip's off to visit the Great Barrier Reef after six months in Sydney. I made him a little goodbye card... Good luck, marra!
