The bead’s dimensions of 5 x 7 mm comply with the current trend for mini beads. The axially symmetric flattened shape of the small core enables the realisation of half metal coating on both sides of the bead with the resulting effect of an overall decoration. The strung beads fit together tightly and create an interlocking zip effect. Six beads connected in a circle can easily be used to create an application in the shape of a flat flower which is a suitable accessory for seed bead embroidery. Taken in the shade on a beautiful day. Pip's leaving for a while for Portugal. Had to take her picture.

I was having real difficulty focusing. It became apparent later that my favourite lens, the 28mm Ai-S, has a worsening focus barrel issue. Now I have to have it repaired, but hey ^^, it's worth it.
