SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Why does human anatomy include the organ known as the appendix? For centuries, doctors have been unable to determine its purpose. Most have decided it's unnecessary, a vestigial structure left over from an earlier stage of evolution. But recent research suggests the conventional wisdom has to be revised. In fact, the appendix seems to protect and regenerate the good bacteria that live in the intestines. I predict that you're on the verge of a metaphorically comparable discovery, Scorpio. Something you have always considered to be useless or irrelevant will reveal its value.

Nancy Hays has enjoyed making clothing for herself since Home Ec class in high school (remember those days?). When she retired, Nancy started her company, Pieces Brought Together, and is now designing jackets.
50. NH2 - Wine & Orchids Jacket, S/M $245 Wine and Orchids is another elegant jacket by Nancy Hays. The jacket is constructed of multiple fabrics that have been overlaid with ties to create interesting angles. Can you find them? The looped closure is an unique embellishment.

Marinated pork pieces. Chopped pork pieces being marinated in olive oil, salt and pepper, turmeric, shallot, garlic, hot curry, cumin, lemon, ginger and lemongrass.
Cutting Area - Waterford Crystal Factory. These are reference pieces - one of everything they ever made. They use these as patterns for making more.
The idea behind this is the pieces in this drawing are all a part of reality. When you hold these things in your hand you can fantasize about what they're originally a part. In similar contrast, you can imagine then as whatever you want (like when you were a kid) as your mind's creativity is the limit when drawing.
I really can't explain why this is my favorite photo so far... If you look at it there is not much to see: a portion of the sky and the sun behind interesting clouds. That's it but I like it!
