You know the story by now - it's just physics. Water drops refract the image of the flowers behind them. Pretty physics though.
In classical physics, that is the non-relativistic physics, the concept of time generally used is that of “absolute time”, which is independent of any perceiver. It progresses at a consistent pace for everyone everywhere throughout the universe, and is essentially mathematical in nature. This accords with people’s everyday experience of how time flows.
The so-called “arrow of time” refers to the one-way direction, or asymmetry, of time, which leads to the way we instinctively perceive time as moving forwards from the immutable past, through the present and towards the unknown future. This idea arises from physics, particularly from the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
Many discussions have been made about the real nature of time: is it really as we perceive it? Is it really an absolute concept, valid everywhere? Is there something more, something we cannot reach?
After his friend’s death, Einstein said: “Now he has departed this strange world a little ahead of me. That signifies nothing. For us believing physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” Einstein’s statement was not merely an attempt at consolation, it referred to the two pillars of modern physics: the general theory of relativity and the Standard Model of particle physics. The laws that underlie these theories are time-symmetric — that is, the physics they describe is the same, regardless of whether the variable called “time” increases or decreases.
Most physicists agree that time had a beginning, and that it is measured from The Big Bang, some 13.8 billion years ago. Whether, how and when time might end in the future is a more open question which we are not able to answer to, for now.

Is it a wave? Is it a particle? How come it travels so fast (3.0×10⁸ m/s)? Light is so damn cool, and there are so many equations and concepts I could go into, but I'd be here for days.

“I’m studying Physics. I’ve always had a fascination with learning how things work. Physics really explains things for me. But lately, as I learn about quantum theory and relativity I get more and more confused, the more I learn. It makes less sense, but I like it.”

Gorgeous goddess with beautiful green eyes modeling bikinis and hoodies! Pretty Brunette with long, wavy/curly brown hair on a partially cloudy day! Nikon D800 E 70-200mm VR2 F/2.8 Nikkor Lens Photos. She was tall, thin, fit and athletic with amazing abs! When the sun was out, we shot the swimsuits and bikinis. When the clouds blocked the sun, we shot the nice, warm hoody. :)
Shot with the Nikon D800 and AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II Nikon Lens & B W 77mm Kaesemann Circular Polarizer with Multi-Resistant Coating! The f/2.8 rocks! :) The polarizer even on overcast days adds my signature touch, as it cuts down on the SB-700 Speedlight Flash glare too.
Modeling some 45SURF shirts/hoodies and the favorite Gold'N'Virtue Gold 45 Revolver bikini swimsuits and lingerie too.
May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddesses guide, inspire, and exalt ye along yer heroic artistic journey! Best wishes from Johnny Ranger McCoy!
'Tis true!
Modeling the black & gold "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the gold gun and main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:
herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!
May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddess inspire you (as they have inspired me!) along your own artistic journey! Love, love, love the 70-200mm F/2.8 Lens! :)
Agnes had her first encounter with the big blonde retriever freight train. I believe she also had her first physics lesson on momentum and inertia.

File name: Physics
Title: Physics
Creator/Contributor: Puvis de Chavannes, Pierre, 1824-1898 (artist); Boston Public Library (sponsor); Lanzel, Sheryl (photographer)
Genre: Paintings; Murals
Date created: 1893-1896 (approximate)
Physical description: 1 painting : mural, oil on canvas ; visible image 14 x 7 feet
Physical description notes: Canvases completed in Puvis' studio in Paris and shipped over to Boston for installation in 1895-96. Canvas applied to the walls of the grand staircase gallery using an adhesive technique called marouflage. The artist used encaustic wax in the painting process to make the surface appear matte and more fresco-like.
Summary/Abstract: Two figures pass along telegraph wires, representing one of the latest technological advancements of the late 19th century. The white-robed figure above bears good news, while the gray-clad figure below bears bad news, her hand clasped to her distraught face. At lower left, a telegraph pole is depicted, while at upper right, a thin bolt of lightning acknowledges the presence of electricity.
General notes: Title from Description of the Decorative Paintings by Pierre Puvis de Chavannes.
Date notes: On May 25, 1893, the Trustees of the BPL contracted Pierre Puvis de Chavannes for mural work completed between 1893 and 1896. As the aging artist was reluctant to travel to Boston, he painted the panels on canvas in his Neuilly studio in France. The panels were then shipped over to the library; installation was completed in 1896.
Subjects: Physics; Telegraph lines
