This gorgeous girl is Hailey. I shot her senior portraits the other day. We were about to die while shooting outside in this gross Florida heat and humidity. This is one thing I have not missed while away at school in NC. I had an absolute blast shooting this doll. She was so much fun to work with and is very photogenic. We've been friends for many, many years and I have missed her face so much!
I've never met someone who loves the Beatles as much as she does.

Reflections of the maritime forest on the salt-marsh estuaries and tidal wetlands of PHP never fail to captivate.
Their beautiful clarity is fluid, graceful and inspiring. (Not to mention ‘photogenic’!)

something about this city that i will always admire
even when i hate it
even though i know the time has come for me to move on
something about the ugly is awful pretty
something about the noise sometimes sounds alright
mismatched, dinged & scratched,
stinky, kinky,
exhausting, relentless
accosting, expensive
agressive, outrageous
ecclectic, contagious.
something about this city lives in me
something, always something to turn your head and see.

In the City, by the Eagles
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqy4sDWE0zI
Somewhere out there on that horizon
Out beyond the neon lights
I know there must be something better
But theres nowhere else in sight
Its survival in the city
When you live from day to day
City streets dont have much pity
When youre down, thats where youll stay
In the city, oh, oh.
In the city
I was born here in the city
With my back against the wall
Nothing grows, and life aint very pretty
No ones there to catch you when you fall
Somewhere out on that horizon
Faraway from the neon sky
I know there must be something better
And I cant stay another night
In the city, oh, oh.
In the city

I had no idea how to process this photo. So I didn't really -- just a few very minor adjustments. Feel free to download and give it a go. I'd love to see what others come up with. I really just like the scene.

Fire & Ice Tour: Covington KY, Madison Theatre 3/9. I think it's awesome that the cincy/cov area is getting a whole bunch of show now. If it was last year, the area would probably have never gotten this tour to come through here. Really happy I got to shoot this tour. Second time shooting WIM and man they are hitting tough waters. They are loosing members left and right. I thought Doriano did an awesome job filling in vocals but the bands entire performance just wasnt there. I really with I could have seen them with Tyler C. Enjoy.

Take a look at this Classic '63 Corvette Sting Ray On Black
Tach it up, tach it up
Buddy gonna shut you down
It happened on the strip where the road is wide
(Oooo rev it up now)
Two cool shorts standin' side by side
(Oooo rev it up now)
Yeah, my fuel injected Stingray and a four-thirteen
(Oooo rev it up now)
Revvin' up our engines and it sounds real mean
(Oooo rev it up now)
Tach it up, tach it up, tach it up
Buddy gonna shut you down
Declinin' numbers at an even rate
(Oooo movin' out now)
At the count of one we both accelerate
(Oooo movin' out now)
My Stingray is light the slicks are startin' to spin
(Oooo movin' out now)
But the four-thirteen's really diggin' in
(Oooo movin' out now)
Gotta be cool now power shift here we go
Superstock Dart is windin' out in low
But my fuel injected Stingray's really startin' to go
To get the traction I'm ridin' the clutch
My pressure plate's burnin' that machine's too much
Pedal's to the floor hear the dual quads drink
(Oooo pump it up now)
And now the four-thirteen's lead is startin' to shrink
(Oooo pump it up now)
He's hot with ram induction but it's understood
(Oooo pump it up now)
I got a fuel injected engine sittin' under my hood
(Oooo pump it up now)
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down

About the Shot
Yes, it's processed to death and still imperfect. I just love it when a photo turns out great after all that hard work. </sarcasm> I guess I was having a Very Bad Day, focus-wise. Most of my shots from this day turned out a bit shit. Still, I do like the frost, even if it's not quite defined enough.
If you appreciate nature as much as I, then you're most welcome to join my group Carbon Footprint.
Please don't post large group images when you comment. Why not try a referer instead?
Take a look at the SS On Black
I had a 327 and a 4 on the floor
It was Detroit built back in '64
Red bucket seats she was mine, all mine
Yeah, was one of a kind
Kevin called "shot gun" and the boys piled in
We were young and we were innocent, we were guilty as sin
And every Friday night, we'd make our getaway
In my Chevrolet
Chorus:
Big, yellow moon on a country road
And "Night Moves" on the stereo
The windows down and the smell of fresh cut hay, hey, hey
If that Chevy could talk, the stories she'd tell
About broken hearts and love and raising hell
Yeah, it was summertime
Man those were the days
in my Chevrolet
Now, Jenni was an angel, she was my first love
Steaming up the windows and getting all tangled up
Stumbling around in the darkness and trying to find our way, hey, hey
At the drive-in movies, parked way up in the back
I couldn't tell you what was playin, I didn't care nothing about that
But after the sho, we'd hit the road and park down by the lake
In my Chevrolet
Chorus:
Big, yellow moon on a country road
And "Night Moves" on the stereo
The windows down and the smell of fresh cut hay, hey, hey
If that Chevy could talk, the stories she'd tell
About broken hearts and love and raising hell
Yeah, it was summertime
Man those were the days
in my Chevrolet
May 28th, graduation day
We set out to see the U.S.A
We got as far as Smith Mountain Lake
Yeah, but that's okay
In my Chevrolet
In my Chevrolet
We were rolling away
In my Chevrolet
Those were the days, yeah
In my Chevrolet
Whoa, yeah
We were rolling away

.
Eu digo: "Te amo!"
E você só acredita quando eu juro.
Eu lanço minha alma no espaço,
Você pisa os pés na terra.
Eu experimento o futuro
Eu quero saber a verdade
Eu me ofereço inteiro
Então me diz qual é a graça
Então me diz qual é a graça
De já saber o fim da estrada,
Quando se parte rumo ao nada?
(Paulinho Moska)
This negative was scanned using two different methods. "on the road - 1" one starts with just laying the negative down on the flatbed scanner with no light shining through at all. The scratches, fingerprints, and surface wear are very evident (to me, they are like the sound of an old 78rpm record, the scratches and mic quality defines the context).
here: www.flickr.com/photos/klsanderson/276332099/in/photostream/
Some weeks later, I discovered that (though I don't have a negative holder for this size film) I can lay the negative in a sweet spot on my scanner flatbed, configure for color negative scan, and reveal this almost prisitne (though not full width) image.
I'm fond of both versions... vive la difference!
I believe I can read a little into the souls of those around me, maybe it is not so.
Oh, when I have a good day I feel as if I can peer deep into other people's souls, although, I don't have a particularly good head on my shoulders.
We sit in a room, some men and women, and I, and I seem to see what is going on in the hearts of these people and what they think of me.
I put something into every flashing glance of their eyes, occassionaly the blood rushes to their cheeks so they turn red, at other times they pretend to be looking another way while still watching me out of the corner of their eyes. There I sit observing all this, and nobody suspects that I see through every soul, for several years I have thought I could read the souls of everybody.
Maybe it is not so.
"Pan" - Knut Hamsun, 1894
