Raining again so popped down town to go and see Phlegm's exhibition in the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield.
Great little drawings, 67 in all and some models of past exibits.
A few of the drawings are really poignant for me and bring back some interesting memories from during the pandemic..
I'll put them in another collage later.. But for now zoom in on the very middle image!!
Information/webpages below..

At the beginning of the global COVID-19 pandemic, artist Phlegm started to document his observations of daily life in lockdown in the form of an ongoing series of artworks.
These 67 pen and ink drawings blur the reality of the pandemic with the imaginary world he has created throughout his career – one full of long-limbed forest creatures, fantastical contraptions and hybrid cities that seem to grow organically. The series goes on display alongside works from the city’s collection.
Pandemic Diary joined the city’s visual art collection thanks to funding from the Contemporary Art Society Rapid Response Fund.

Phlegm is the working name for his artwork and a small press comic. The name phlegm came from one of the four bodily humours in ancient Greek medicine, blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm. Phlegm was believed to be responsible for an apathetic and unemotional temperament. He has been painting again this time on Sharrow Vail Road
Phlegm is currently painting a new mural on the side of the old Taylor Eye Witness Works to coincide with his amazing “Mausoleum of the Giants” exhibition which is currently inside the Works on Milton Street until 6 April.
Location: Headford Street.
Another of Sheffield's cultery works is about to be turned into appartments, but not before it became the final resting place for the huge imagination of local street artist Phlegm. Art Installation in Eye Witness Works, Sheffield, UK.
