Jack, the Shetland Sheepdog my wife and I have been fostering for the Cinnamon Trust dog charity for 2 years, sadly died in December 2022. The vet took a paw print for us as a keepsake.

A Burlington Northern local rolls through Illinois farm country between Compton and Paw Paw on June 10, 1984. BN operated this former Chicago, Burlington & Quincy branch from Sterling to Earlville, Illinois, and by this date, trackage of the branch was deteriorating, with traffic dwindling. Soon, the local would be discontinued on this 46.8-mile long line, and it would be torn up in 1985. BN GP40 No. 3030 is the former CB&Q No. 630—note the leaves piled on the walkway along the long hood—shaved from trees and shrubs growing too close to the right-of-way.

'cause I'm a crazy cat person here is another cat photo.. this time from Emil, he is on of the neighbors cats. I got bitten at least two times to get this photo plus he hissed at me and when he calmed down he wanted to cuddle... that's cat's logic :D

Our Florence decided to flop down on the floor in front of me while I was trying to take some shots of Ozzy. Possibly a wee bit jealous perhaps?
Bella, fast asleep with her paws in a heap. She does have 4 paws, but the 4th one was hidden somewhere under the others. Even after 3 years with her, I’m still fascinated by her dark coloured pads as my previous cats all had pink pads.

Anigozanthos is a small genus of Australian plants in the bloodwort family Haemodoraceae. The 11 species and several subspecies are commonly known as kangaroo paw and catspaw depending on the shape of their flowers. Wikipedia

Elk really likes cold paws, after running round on the beach she'll purposely after a while head for the sea, not to swim but to wet her paws!

This has been a marathon to get shots between rain and clouds this has been 4 night to get 120 shot 3 nights close down and cover over. What shows up for those that look closely a very nervous Red Eyed mouse next to the Cats paw. A very dark area of the Milky way when you look at the big panorama I did. The two corners show the lighter colours of the Milky way. This morning the whole area was wet with dew gear got water on it but as there are heaters running very little compared the the surrounds.

Kangaroo paw is the common name for a number of species, in two genera of the family Haemodoraceae, that are endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. These rhizomatous[1] perennial plants are noted for their unique bird attracting flowers. The tubular flowers are coated with dense hairs and open at the apex with six claw-like structures: from this paw formation the common name "kangaroo paw" is derived.[2]
The plant was named after the shape of the flowers, which resemble to the paws of a kangaroo. The kangaroo plant has been introduced into Japan and has been grown as a new ornamental crop mainly in Okinawa Island under a subtropical climate.[3] Courtesy: Wikipedia

We had just enough snow overnight to catch a visitor's prints. Going by the size of these, 3" each, I'm going to assume that they were made by our neighborhood bobcat. : )
I just read that bobcats don't leave claw prints since their claws retract, so now my guess would be raccoon. I really don't know. Lol
