...for my baby to get home. ♥

So I made this while waiting to smother her in pent up affection.

the details

tune

"If you be the cash,

I'll be the rubber band

You be the match,

I will be a fuse, boom

Painter baby, you could be the muse

I'm the reporter baby, you could be the news

'Cause you're the cigarette and I'm the smoker

We raise a bet, cause you're the joker

Checked off, you are the chalk

And I can be the blackboard

You could be the talk

And I could be the walk

Even when the sky comes falling

Even when the sun don't shine

I got faith in you and I..."

This beautiful Barred Owl waits patiently along the railroad tracks nearby my home. They know where the mice and voles love to hang out.

This beautifully dressed Great Blue Heron has just finished wading through the water at Circle B Bar Reserve near Lakeland, Florida. It was not successful on its hunt as yet, but is patient enough that it will succeed.

So, I can't park here?

I know a lot of people like seeing my nature close up photos but sometimes I just get tired of taking them and want to share something different. In this case I didn't have my camera with me but my phone and I saw this dog sitting in this 1980s camper and he was just chilling patiently waiting for his/her owner to come back. I had to take a picture!

A patient ambush predator, the ‘auku’u, or black-crowned night heron, motionlessly anticipates the perfect moment for a precision strike then catches a fresh cichlid. The nictitating membrane that protects the eye during the strike and prey handling is still retracting as the bird swallows the fish head first. The ‘auku’u is a well-adapted to a variety of aquatic habitats, from protected upland watersheds to urban drainage channels to ocean side tide pools. This indigenous sub-species of night heron is generally diurnal in Hawaii. The red eyes are stunningly captivating!

This Fishing Spider (Dolomedes tenebrosus) was unmoved by my lens, with flash popping in its face. So much so, that I came back three times to get different focus sequences, and yet it did not move an inch. Three-image handheld stack.

The appearance of a mature African Fish Eagle is also quite distinct and its colouration can't really be confused with another large raptor species, even a novice bird watcher can tick the checklist with absolute confidence.

These beautiful eagles are usually seen in pairs and it's thought that they mate for life. The female can be told apart from the male as she is larger than her mate.

Their breeding season occurs during the drier months. A nest is constructed from dry twigs, mostly built in the fork of a tree, but can also be on a rocky ledge and always close to water.
