European Robin / Rotkehlchen (Erithacus rubecula)
in our garden - Frankfurt-Nordend
for the ice to melt ... (Or shall I say impatiently waiting)? lol
Not all of our ponds or lakes have melted yet, but the days are warming and spring's definitely on the way.

Thank you for viewing and for leaving me a comment! Have a wonderful day!
This chickadee had its eye on a snag that had several potential nesting cavities. Then, another chickadee flew into one of the cavities which made me wonder if they were building a nest. I stayed for a moment to see what would happen, but neither chickdee moved. Not wanting to disturb them, I took off. I returned a few days later, but I didn't see them.
Thank you for viewing and for leaving me a comment! Have a great day and week!

Coyote in Yellowstone National Park sitting on a frozen river with some open water. When they see a fish, they start jumping up and down and splashing the water. Don't know if they ever catch a fish, but fun to watch.

Adult female European Robin [Erithacus rubecula]
At The Pixies, yesterday, waiting for a slot to come down and get some nuts/seeds.
It seems that this area is part of the robin’s territory, but the other wee birds are much less timid, and there are many, many more of them. Always great to see this wee sweetie...Maybe, because of all the recent snow, she needs a wee supplement to her insect diet.

Common Gallinules eat vegetation, seeds, snails, and insects. They pick sedge, grass, pondweed, duckweed, and flower seeds (shown here) from the water surface or just below the surface.
Just after this was taken, we saw this Hen protecting her little ones from the rainstorm that came through. They all huddled underneath her while she spread her wings to shield them.
They were just so ugly and cute at the same time......
Look at those little forming wings with spurs....
Thanks for taking a look.
Have a great Tuesday !

Come on taste me as I am
You will see my hole
Come on take me as I am
I will take you
I am the feelings that I feel
The darkness in my hands is bound
To the fate which I’ve been chosen for
To keep it all inside

I think this was one of my first photo´s of a macro subject that I really like personally, the bokeh helped so much !!
I think for these spiders are great if like me you are starting out at macro, because they are usually in the open at the side of a flower or branch and mainly stay really still with one leg on the web waiting for prey, like this one did, this really helps you compose the photo and play a bit with settings.
Also this was handheld and only using natural light : )

I've put out the bird feeders underneath my backporch awning. It's been very busy with the birds coming and going with the colder weather now. Today I was able to get a photo of a White-breasted Nuthatch waiting patiently and sitting on a lilac branch right outside my window.
Hopefully I will be able to get more photos of the birds that frequent my feeders.
Few of the filters I used are from Photoshop 2025.

Perché aspetti con impazienza le cose? Se sono inutili per la tua vita, inutile è anche aspettarle. Se sono necessarie, loro verranno e verranno nel momento giusto.
Why do you wait impatiently for things? If they are useless for your life, it is useless to wait for them too. If they are necessary, they will come and come at the right time.
