Friends and family gathered at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, to celebrate Hunter Babcock's 4th birthday party Oct. 24, 2021. The gifts, games, cake, and decorations paid homage to Hunter's favorite theme: dinosaurs!
After the party, Hunter and his family visited a pumpkin patch at Satellite Beach Methodist Church to select the perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

Some of my NASA patches. I got the Hubble one at Kennedy Space Center when I went out to see the launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis in May (STS-132). Mike took me to the Astronaut Hall of Fame and they had the pictures of all the men and women who had been up into space for NASA and all the various patches that they had to their names. I can't remember who had it, but I saw the Hubble patch there on the wall and for some reason I said that I liked it and hoped they had it in the shop at KSC. Which they did. (Not sure why I liked it – I think it's because of the simplicity of it and the colours. It also features NASA's 'worm' logo, which didn't do the rounds for long, and I'm not a big fan of it, but in this patch it goes quite well for some reason.)
It's very hard to walk out of the shop at Kennedy Space Center without wanting to buy practically everything they have on the shelves. 2009 marked 40 years since the Apollo moon landings and I remember picking up a commemorative set of pins for Mike whilst we were there and it had a pretty enamel pin of the insignia for Apollo 11. It's probably one of my favourites.
The Space Store at KSC has an online shop too, which is bad, because every now and again I go on there and peruse what stuff I want. Like the patches. The only reason I took a picture of these patches is because I've decided I wanted to give my new winter coat its own marking and I figured (from all the commuting I do) that there aren't that many people travelling around with NASA patches on their coats. It's just a case of what patch I want to put on my coat (from the few that I have here at home – and the many I could possibly buy on t'Internets).
This is my favorite block--the AMH cathedral print and a ric rac print

You will find it difficult to find your way on your own to the Royal Barges Museum if you are coming by road, as you have to enter a village by an unmarked lane (unless the signs were in Thai and I missed it), and then walk almost a km through a small hamlet, with curious locals staring at you, and you peering into peoples' back yards and seeing the local ladies go about their daily chores. A concrete pathway has been laid all the way, as you can see here. We exited the congested village and before we got to the next congested patch, we came across this little breathing space, probably due to a demolished building. My guide- bless her- suggested she take a picture of me at that spot. Last time I considered coming here by tuk tuk, I was literally up against a wall. I managed this time though, thanks to my dear guide, but with this long trek through a small hamlet, I doubt if I could have found the place on my own. (Bangkok, Thailand, Oct. 2018)
This is one of the many coal related patches that I have to trade for patches to add to my collection. I will be uploading more as time goes on.
