- www.kevin-palmer.com - There were still patches of snow near Red Grade Road. Just above 7,000 feet the road was blocked.
These two patches were given to me by Neil Andrews (your source for M-05 and M-93 in Swtizerland).
The patch on the left with the two yellow rifles crossed is a battalian insignia and worn by fighting troops.
The patch on the right was worn by supply personnel who trailed the velofahrrern in Pingauers and other supply vehicles. This support group provided meals, mechanical support, munisions stocks, camp needs, etc...
The velofahrrer carried weapons and the most basic equipment for the field with the bulk of their loads being weapons.

My patchwork arrived in Denmark in time for the party. Julie hung it in her loft, and I'm in love with the view from behind with the light coming through!
Two days, one spell of heavy rain (and one email to the City Council) later... and fresh patches of tarmac gleam nice and black in the morning sun. All the gravel on the pavement is still there, but that's not the pothole-person's job to fix: that'll need a sweeper-person!
Andrew chose a tapestry (of Millais's potato sowers) that I had around rather than a piece of cloth to use as patches. I over dyed it dull blue a bit.
The pocket is mended with some great tweedy wool I've had for years.
Day 284 of 365 (Friday) - After reviewing my images of the day, as I fed baby, none of them seemed to carry any meaning for me. He fed for so long his nappy leaked, as did my "other side". Fortunately it was just before bath time. I headed up to the bath and decided to get a quick shot of my top, complete with wet patches. I lay it on the ground and baby decided it would be the perfect place to sit. As he grinned happily up at me it filled in the story for me, it may not be glamorous, but having a well fed happy baby more than makes up for it. Since becoming a mother I've got used to various stains gathering on my clothes from the children during the day, but these wet patches will soon enough no longer be on my clothes. I am glad to have captured them.

These Honjos will be used on another bike, and this hole had to be plugged. I used a piece of adhesive-backed aluminum foil, from which I punched a small circular patch with a paper punch.
"My Patch."....This blackbird has done a lot of defending of his patch.Seeing off all other blackbirds.
I stepped away for a minute and came back to find my cat straddling the couch to the coffee table with her head buried in my water glass. Lovely.
This old outbuilding has been patched since last time I saw it. Always thought it was abandoned but maybe not!
I paired a Jane Sassaman print with a solid for each patch. I ended up hand quilting this in green with the big stitch. I wish I had taken close up pictures of the quilting...
patches is an Australian shepherd, i think. he is so pretty, he has red and white fur with these amazing blue eyes. not the smartest dog, though, he runs out in front of my car whenever i'm trying to leave Evan's house! i almost hit him every time. well, i guess i should say my mom almost hits him. lol
I remember my parent's formica and vinyl dinette set that was pink and black. I thought we were very fashionable. blogged www.randomthoughtsdoordi.com/2014/04/chasing-challenge.html
