Why This Photo Is Meaningful to Me: Patch is an Australian Blue Heeler that I adopted from a friend in 2006. Before I got Patch someone had shot him and the vet had to remove his right front leg. That has not slowed my boy down at all. I have 7 dogs and he's in the think of everything and runs just as fast as any of them PLUS he swims in the pond. We have 11 acres with 2 acres fenced in and my Houdini dog with three legs finds ways to escape the fence while his 4-legged pals sit on the inside wondering "how'd he do that?" I'm the Director of a non-profit agency serving people with disabilities and Patch is just another shining example of how anyone or anything can overcome any obstacle.
