With the company brass and executives on board, a Union Pacific officer special rolls downgrade through the valley at Tolland. The train is already behind schedule, after an almost 25 minute stop at Tolland's west switch over PTC issues. After trying to troubleshoot, and the dispatcher pleading with the PTC desk for permission to disengage the technology and keep his bosses moving, the train continued east. A few dashes of fall color can also be seen, as the aspen trees begin to turn a vibrant yellow.

An aircraft I always thought had a sleek new age design for its time and muscle to back it up. Kinda a muscle car comparison so to speak.

I had to slow my shutter speed down from shooting freeze frames of an extremely fast F-22 Raptor to catching a slight blur of motion on the prop with this shot. This is like splitting hairs because you want to freeze the subject in clarity but you want blur on the prop. A learning experience for me and was fun as well!!

Last night, Grizzly 399 was struck by a car and killed. After 28 years, she had become an icon in Grand Teton National Park and the Greater Yellowstone area. It's always unfortunate when any animal is killed by a vehicle, but especially sad to see her go out this way. Grizzly 399 was the first grizzly bear I ever encountered and photographed. She was the oldest living offspring-producing grizzly bear in the area. Her legacy survives through her offspring and the many other grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Area.

Rest in Peace Grizzly 399

The P.S.Cumberoona is now fully restored by the Knowles family and gracing the waters of the mighty Murray River and Lake Mulwala, on the Victorian & New South Wales border, of Australia.

B&P 3101 leads GW1 as it begins to work up the grade in Warsaw, NY. There are a couple of old box cars stored on either side of the old station. The siding they are on is no longer connected to the main track, and I assume they are for MOW storage. I recently learned that a Snowy Owl was spotted in the village

cemetery. I first found the owl sitting on the ground, just to the right of this tombstone. Since then, I've been fortunate to find it again. Each time, in the same general area of the cemetery. I'm guessing it has found a peaceful place and that the hunting there is good.

Please note: I removed names from the tombstone in Photoshop.
