I'M MY OWN DREAMS

All the mirrors cracked no truth behind the glass

Shattered pieces fall fate cuts the past

I'm walking shadow roads chasing fading gleams

No one wakes me up I'm my own dreams

City hums at night whispers in the breeze

Streetlights paint my face haunt me like disease

I scream into the dark but no one ever hears

Following my heartbeat drowning out my fears

I'm my own dreams no one else can see

Living in the haze where the wild ones flee

Writing every page this ain't destiny

I'm my own dreams time dissolves the plea

Fire in my lungs words burn like ash

Counting every breath slow inhale crash

The echoes in my chest a rhythm I believe

Everything I hold is something I conceive

I've been a storm I've been a cage

Flames of myself beyond the stage

Turning light to smoke and smoke into streams

Can't no one wake me up I'm my own dreams

I'm my own dreams no one else can see

Living in the haze where the wild ones flee

Writing every page this ain't destiny

I'm my own dreams time dissolves the plea

just liked especially with a few leaves around I knew how it felt being on its own

Daiju visited the master Baso in China. Baso asked: "What do you seek?"

"Enlightenment," replied Daiju.

"You have your own treasure house. Why do you search outside?" Baso asked.

Daiju inquired: "Where is my treasure house?"

Baso answered: "What you are asking is your treasure house."

Daiju was enlightened! Ever after he urged his friends: "Open your own tresure house and use those treasures."

"Sometimes I wonder where I've been

Who I am, do I fit in

Make belivin' is hard alone,

Out here on my own

We're always provin' who we are

Always reachin' for that risin' star

To guide me far and shine me home,

Out here on my own.

When I'm down and feelin' blue

I close my eyes so I can be with you

Oh baby, be strong for me,

Baby, belong to me

Help me through, help me need you.

Until the morning sun appears

Making light of all my fears

I dry the tears I've never shown,

Out here on my own.

When I'm down and feelin' blue

I close my eyes so I can be with you

Oh baby, be strong for me,

Baby, belong to me

Help me through, help me need you.

Sometimes I wonders where I've been

Who I am, do I fit in.

I may not win but I can't be thrown,

Out here on my own, on my own."

View from the northeast of the castle in a windy morning.

The Castle of Zafra (Spanish: Castillo de Zafra) is a 12th-century castle located in the municipality of Campillo de Dueñas, in Guadalajara, Spain.

Built in the late 12th or early 13th centuries on a sandstone outcrop in the Sierra de Caldereros, it stands on the site of a former Visigothic and Moorish fortification that fell into Christian hands in 1129.

It had considerable strategic importance as a virtually impregnable defensive work on the border between Christian and Muslim-ruled territory.

The castle was never conquered and was successfully defended against the King of Castile in the 13th century.

The successful completion of the Reconquista at the end of the 15th century ended its military significance.

Although it fell into ruin in the following centuries, since 1971 it has progressively been restored by its private owners.

It can be visited with permission from the owners.

Filming location: HBO filmed outdoor scenes for season 6 of its fantasy series "Game of Thrones" at the castle.

According to its present owner, Daniel Antonio Sanz, the producers were "looking for a remote site and away from any building".

The castle stands in for the Tower of Joy in three episodes of the season, "Oathbreaker", "Blood of My Blood" and "The Winds of Winter", during flashback scenes that reveal a secret from Ned Stark's past. (Source: Wikipedia)

(Fuente: Wikipedia)

Don't wait for good things to come your way. Go out there and grab any chance whenever you see one. Get those lemons together with some salt and tequila and enjoy it with your friends - or maybe make lemonade out of it instead or bake a lemon cake. Use it to make something good! Make a change. Your life is in your own hands. If you fall, don't just lay down and wait for someone to lend you a hand. Get up and keep walking your path! You are strong, you are amazing and talented. Be bold, because you are beautiful on the inside and outside. You hold your fate in your own hands. We are all like carbon. Carbon is everywhere. Sometimes you might think that it's nothing special but add pressure and heat and it'll turn into a Diamond.

Le King’s Own Building abrite aujourd’hui le musée militaire « Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Museum ».

Remains of the vault of the Church of San Martín de Tours in the town of Belchite.

Belchite is a town in the province of Zaragoza, autonomous region of Aragon, Spain.

At the end of the bloody Spanish civil war (1936-1939), which was the prologue to the Second World War, it became a symbol of the cruelty of war by order of General Franco.

The bloody fighting that took place here, house by house, with several changes of hands throughout the war, had a more political than strategic purpose, with a great cost of human lives and military resources.

General Franco's decision to turn it into a symbol of the cruelty of war, led to the order not to restore the damaged city and to build a "new" city.

But the truth is that the real damage, which is the cause of the current state of the "old" city, was caused from 1964, when the tenants of the last inhabited houses moved to the new Belchite.

From that moment on, the ruins of the houses, completely unprotected, were looted to take recyclable materials, as well as scrap metal, pipes, cables...

The lack of materials that provided support for the old buildings caused collapses.

The inclement weather, the lack of respect of the people in general and the lack of interest of the national authorities to at least preserve what exists, lead us to the current state.

In reality, the fighting during the war had only caused 30% of the damage.

Restoration campaigns are being carried out on the most significant buildings that are still standing.

The entire area is now fenced and protected and visits can only be guided, which are coordinated by the local authority.

The concept of a "Theme Park" came too late.

This ruined church of Saint Martin of Tours was used as a hospital, but was systematically bombed when word spread that weapons and ammunition were stored there.

Given the state of this ruined city, many films and documentaries have been shot, including "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" directed by Terry Gilliam (1988) and "Pan's Labyrinth" directed by Guillermo del Toro (2005). (Source: Wikipedia)

(Fuente: Wikipedia)

Porthgwarra is a relatively unknown Cornish Cove, largely owned by Lord St Levan (of St. Michael’s Mount). It is located just under 3 miles southeast of Land’s End. Once a thriving fishing cove, it now enjoys a peaceful existence surrounded by local wildlife.

Porthgwarra Beach is a popular spot for birdwatching, with a variety of seabirds and raptors visible from the cliffs. Dolphins or seals can sometimes be seen in the sea too. At low tide there is a very small beach, with an array of interesting rock pools and caves. Swimming is relatively safe within the confines of the Cove.

One of Porthgwarra's most interesting features is the cave running through part of the cliff; there is a rope to hang on to as it is treacherously slippery. Sometimes in the evening, bats may be seen flying in and out of the cave.

Porthgwarra Beach has a rich history, and visitors can explore the cove's network of tunnels which were once used for smuggling. There are also lots of reminders of Porthgwarra's fishing heritage, although today only one boat regularly works crab pots from there. However, its appearance in the hit TV series, Poldark, has gone some way to preserving memories of the harsh realities of fishing for pilchards in the eighteenth century.

Serco-Northlink operated ferry (owned by Macbraynes/Scottish government) arriving through Hoy Sound, passing Hoy High Lighthouse on the island of Graemsay filmed from the point of Ness Stromness as she enters Stromness harbour.

At 3.16 the Hamnavoe sounds the letter N -. on her horn as she enters Stromness, this is an old tradition which goes back to the North of Scotland Orkney & Shetland, Steam Navigation Company who were the first to to sound the N -. on their ships horn as they approached harbour and with Northlink being the modern day operator of the route, they decided to restart the old tradition.

Now owned by the Town of Orford and managed by the Upper Valley Land Trust, this lovely piece of land nestles below the western flank of New Hampshire's White Mountains. Not so long ago it was the Billy Brown Farm...home to a hermit farmer, a horse, a cow and a dog. All gone. But a few old-timers hereabouts remember Billy with affection....and fortunately his barn has been stabilized and is protected from falling down. In the summer, it is a good place to find a rock to sit on and listen to the bobolinks and ravens.

How many millions of photos have been taken of these Abu Simbel temples?

Yet it continues to fascinate us every time we go. And I've been there three times.

It was built by the powerful Pharaoh Ramses II around 1274 BC to celebrate his supposed victory in the Battle of Kadesh over the Hittites, although the Hittites also claim they were the ones who won.

The temples are dedicated to the worship of the great deities of Ancient Egypt: Amun, Ra, and Ptah, as well as Ramses II, since the pharaohs were considered gods.

The four statues that dominate the façade represent Pharaoh Ramses II himself at different ages.

The second from the left collapsed in an earthquake.

They are about 20 meters (65 feet) tall.

A series of solar phenomena occur within the temple 61 days before and after the winter solstice, due to the monument's original alignment.

The rise in the Nile River level due to the construction of the Aswan Dam jeopardized the survival of several temples in the Nubian region, upstream of the dam.

The rescue of the Abu Simbel temples began in 1964 by a multinational team of archaeologists, engineers, and heavy equipment operators working together under the banner of UNESCO.

In total, it cost about $40 million at the time ($336 million adjusting for inflation in 2020).

Between 1964 and 1968, the entire site was carefully cut into large blocks (averaging 20 tons and weighing a maximum of 30 tons each), dismantled, lifted, and reassembled at a new location 65 meters higher and 200 meters farther from the river, in one of the greatest archaeological engineering challenges in history. ABU SIMBEL, 2010
