The Jeepster is an automobile originally produced by Willys-Overland Motors from 1948 to 1950. It was developed in hopes of filling a gap in the company's product line, crossing over from their "utilitarian" proto SUVs and trucks to the passenger automobile market. The basic model included numerous deluxe features and interior fittings in addition to a high level of standard equipment that cost extra on other automobiles. A total of almost 20,000 were manufactured.

This one is going up on my wall one day. It's a handheld pano of 12 or so vertical shots across the plains looking toward several of the ranges south from windemere. To the right is Mt Ossa and the Acropolis beyond, Mt Oakleigh's outline is in the centre and far off to the left lies the walls of Jerusalem. It doesn't project well on flick but the original file is over 100mb lol - too big to upload ;P If interested, view in original size for the squashed details !

old.curmudgeon, you did it again. One of your recent photos reminded me of this one. It is my husband's father and brother with their Willys Overland truck. This is a scan of an old photo that was taken around 1949.
I had quite a few photos in this pamphlet. It was great to be able to give back something useful after having the privilege of doing this great hike.
For Overlanding (the arrangement of camping and off-roading), the chief benefit of a rooftop tent is that you can set up camp almost anywhere.

Interesting to see this new tent being used. I tried a couple of times to meet up with the owners, but kept missing them. Very interested to see how the new tent compares to my 45 year old version.
