On Sunday, February 19, 2012, we sent to watch the Bridgeport Sound Tigers play the Hershey Bears at Webster Bank Arena. The Sound Tigers won in a shoot-out in overtime!
Walking home rueing another day of working late (not often nowadays though), I walked past these workers and realised they were the real overtime workers, with a more physical regimen, and probably longer hours.
Without hundreds of overseas manual labourers like them, our country would not be where it is today. Kudos to these often faceless, and under appreciated workers!
In a rain-soaked VHSL Region 6B quarterfinal held May 28, 2025, at Colgan in Manassas, Virginia, the Freedom-South Riding Eagles edged the Charles J. Colgan Sharks 2–1 in double overtime. The Sharks struck early with a goal by Ariel Andrews-Thompson, but the Eagles equalized before halftime. After a scoreless first overtime, Freedom scored the winning goal late in the second extra period to advance.
