Charlotte (5-4, C-USA: 3-2) rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final seven minutes to topple Rice, 31-24 in overtime, Saturday before a sold-out crowd of 16,050 fans at Jerry Richardson Stadium and MyCarolina's Jerry Self was on the field catching all the action. The win, Charlotte's fifth of the season, lands the 49ers on the cusp of bowl eligibility.
With nine wickets down lunch was extended from the scheduled 1.10 pm...but Yorkshire still couldn't take that final wicket in the 8 extra overs.
Walking home rueing another day of working late (not often nowadays though), I walked past these workers and realised they were the real overtime workers, with a more physical regimen, and probably longer hours.
Without hundreds of overseas manual labourers like them, our country would not be where it is today. Kudos to these often faceless, and under appreciated workers!
The BusinessMakers Overtime show went out the Primer Grey Block Party to hang out and interview some great local Houston Businesses.
Bessemer City traveled to North Gaston Tuesday night. Just 8 miles seperate the two schools. Three games. JV Boys North Gaston won 62-13. Varsity Girls was a bit closer at 48-22 Bessemer City. Varsity guys was a back and forth battle. BC hit a game tying shot at the buzzer and took that momentum into overtime and a 78-72 victory. Both schools are off until 11/30 when they meet back up in Bessemer City for the rematch.
